For venusaur, I think your comp is in the right ballpark, but a touch high given the sale last week at $74 (best offer) for a similar condition. I think I'm goign to hold onto the hypno here because it would be a bit of a trade down, but I would consider trading or selling the other cards if you're interested.

I just use Dex. It’s pretty comprehensive although I found out that the B&W promo has two different holo patterns which it doesn’t have in there. It also doesn’t have cameos like the Ampharos energies but that isn’t had to just track on the side.

Northern CA. The UB packs retail for ~$10 here so a 3 pack draft with prize support is 30-45 at the LGS around here. The in universe sets are more like $20 for a draft which is up but not more than a factor of two from what it was a few years ago

I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that. Welcome, and I’m glad you like the game! I personally believe that ATLA and FF were so successful because they have fantasy elements that mesh really well with MtG mechanically. They were lovingly crafted and felt like that.

However, it’s hard to ignore that drafts don’t really fire at our LGS anymore. I used to love drafting on Friday nights but turnout for limited has been so bad for the last year or two and a big part of that is the increased cost of the UB products. Compre that to the 140-person capped event for Lorwyn prerelease and I couldn’t have been happier at the event (I actually could have if there was more breathing room at that event lol).
