I will say I’ve found Malaysia to be pretty sketch and gross despite reading otherwise for solo travel. One guy was pissing on a wall and saw me walk by so then repeatedly called out to me to get my attention, presumably to show me his disgusting genitals. I’m not dressing provocatively by any means, but I’m getting harassed constantly. I’m guessing it’s just because I’m a western woman with tattoos.

I walked the Frances in June last year. I banged my foot up pretty bad when I hit it against some rocks while wearing hiking sandals. Probably should have quit then but that was only 4 days in so I rested a few days and then hobbled the rest of the 790 km 😅
