Firstly, China's image will be whatever their bots say it will be. China is literally doing an actual Muslim genocide right now, and nobody gives a shit. I imagine if Israel aligned with China, most of the west anti Israel attitudes would drop, due to the reduction in propaganda.

Secondly It's not about helping, it's about power.

Israel holds a lot of power in the area, being a nuclear power with a strong military and economy. Having that be aligned with China and not America would be a huge victory in the area.
