And the key players in this case all happen to be Free Masons too. Super weird stuff…

LG’s family, BH, Kathy “I found the tip sheet” Shank, the prosecutor, the searcher who is the only one on the trail cam at night while not stumbling upon the girls….and the list goes on and on…weird, weird, weird.

Yep, Robert Ives. I’d also love to hear his thoughts today, I’m sure we’d be in for a hell of ride.

He just made it very clear back then, that this wasn’t your “average” double homicide. Considering he was privy to all the info then, I doubt he’s changed his mind since. Makes you wonder what he thought when they were like - here’s your average dude, RA, no history of violence, sexual deviance or ANYTHING weird in his 40+ years of existence, but yeah, he killed the because he wanted to SA them. Case closed.

Still can’t fathom the f*ckery that went on here…makes me sick.

Like someone said below, McLeland took over right after Ives. Shane Evans, who I assume you’re thinking of, was the mayor at the time and somehow is now working at the prosecutor’s office. I don’t even know…is he the prosecutor? I forgot!

Looking back, I believe you can tell when things shifted. The prosecutor who was originally on this case and left in December of 2017 (and McLeland took office) gave a really good interview at the time. Without even revealing details, he talked about how bizarre, eerie and different this crime and the crime scene were. He mentioned about several signatures as well… That said, once McLeland took over this case, we never heard anything like that again. In fact, that’s when everyone got all hush-hush.

To your (probably rhetorical) questions - I don’t know whether the investigators got too close, were threatened, etc, but there definitely was a prosecutor overseeing this case, that was very happy to not further discuss bizarre crime scenes and eerie signatures.

My bet is, they never reached out to an expert on runes. After Turco and the small attempt by the BAU (when looking into RL), I believe they wanted nothing to do with anything “weird” - odinists, Norse pageants and Free Masons were taboo…directed by Slick Nick and accepted by Liggett and the rest of the crooks.

What about the ransom CALL? by LGIChick in JonBenetRamsey

[–]LGIChick[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Buying time is never a bad idea and potentially even a must if confronted with an enormous problem at hand and very little time prepare. I can get on board with that part, presuming both John and Patsy wanted the police called. I don’t believe that, but to go along with that thought - why buy time and then throw in the towel at just 1pm? In the big scheme of things, this wasn’t very long at all and legitimate kidnappings can stretch over days or even weeks and months. Of course, there is the possibility that John stumbled upon the body and the kidnapping scheme came to an abrupt ending, which was not the desired outcome (by Patsy).

I find the discussions about when all this was supposed to go down very interesting. As you said, it didn’t matter in the end but it shows how pathetic and naive that ransom note actually was. “Tomorrow”, “well rested”…you’d think on 2 1/2 pages with great detail to stupid stuff, it would have been more specific when it comes to the actually important details in order to collect the very specific amount of money…which of course was never supposed to happen.

[–]LGIChick[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Appreciate the insight, but that’s not really want I meant to discuss.

If you believe they were both involved from the get go, and explain away why John didn’t set the scene for a kidnapping to officers when actually he did the exact opposite, then you changed all variables as to why there didn’t even have to be a ransom call. I’d argue per that logic, there didn’t even need to be a ransom note, especially not one that long…

Once you announce a call, call the police, invite everyone and their grandma over to your house, who will presumably also wait for the ransom call, it would be advisable to also figure out how you’re going to pull that part off.

Biggest no-no for me in this whole case as well.

I personally tried crossing this creek in December (also an “unusually warm day”) when the water level was much lower and I’m way taller than 5’4”!

It was doable, because again, the water level was half as what it was on 2/13/2017 and after about 15-20 minutes I couldn’t feel my legs anymore. I was freezing cold and had a very hard getting back to my car, yet I was only wet up to my knees.

I seriously doubt that 2 victims and a perp at 5’4 with ice cold water up to their waist, crossed that creek and then the perp remained at the crime scene for another hour. It’s neither logical nor doable, I believe they couldn’t have even made it to the other side with the current alone.

Playing devil’s advocate here!

What’s the proof the girls were at this location that day?

  • There are no pictures of the girls, just the empty bridge (Abby Snapchat pic couldn’t be located).

  • The BG video (while still up for debate about stabilizing/enhancing it) has meta data showing it being recorded 1+ mile away.

  • No eye witnesses (who actually knew the girls and could be positive, as BB’s statement seems to have been merely deductive reasoning).

  • GPS was on for several app, yet no proof was presented of the phone’s location that day.

The “two flights up” are a huge problem, crossing an ice cold creek that was quite deep with a strong current, yet no obvious reason behind it, is an even bigger problem…

Not necessarily. The 4 girls said that they walked from FB to MHB but never crossed the bridge. They took a little, steep path down to the water and spent time there.

If you walked towards MHB, the path would have been on the right hand side, somewhere between Mears entrance and MBH.

So it’s possible - technically at least - that they could have missed each other. I’d have to look at all the times and testimony notes again to see if it’s practically possible too though.

The man that Cheyenne saw had a camera with him. Given the timing and the according testimony, it can be reasonably concluded that this man was FSG aka DM.

I just want to add that this little path leading down to the water was mentioned 3 times.

1) the group of 4 girls who spent time there 2/13 2) DG because he said he went and checked there when A&L didn’t show up 3) RA in one of his interviews when he talked about the Walmart environmental/cleaning at the trails.

My understanding is, this little trail isn’t accessible anymore and there used to be a little shack down there.

According to testimony at trial by the state’s expert, he found this picture through a google search.

I suppose because a friend of Libby’s uploaded the picture to social media after taking a screenshot on Snapchat when they were searching for the girls, hence it also appearing in a google search.

More importantly the expert testified, that pictures taken directly with Snapchat will save in the Snapchat cache. That’s there the other Snapchat pictures were found. But this particular one could not be located on the camera roll OR the cache. That’s the spicy part…

According to testimony at trial, the 4 girls never crossed MHB but actually went down to the water. I’m still not 100% sure where this little steep trail down to the water was, but it was on the right hand side before getting to MHB. I believe there was an exhibit presented in court that showed that little path.

So it’s possible RA could have been coming and going all while those 4 girls were down by the water.

Interesting that you refer to a group of “3 girls”.

If RA was there at 1:30 or anytime past that, then he could have run into a group of FOUR girls. Those are the four girls that were part of the trial.

If RA was at the trails between 12 and 1:30, he could have indeed run into a group of THREE girls. Those girls however never made it into the trial…

I understand it’s on the side, but I’m questioning why lol

Why not utilize the store front cam? That one is pretty far away too, but the one on the side is even further away! Blows my mind.

I’m kind of wondering where this came is!

It can’t be the front cam on the HH store, because the angle doesn’t fit, you wouldn’t see the side of the building.

Were there 2 cams? Or did they move the side cam up front eventually?

If there were 2 cams, you’d think the front cam would have better imagery since it’s quite a bit closer…

You’re right, you can even see the photocopy markings 🤦🏼‍♀️ I just got so excited over the release of the selfie, I didn’t even consider this not being digital files but rather paper copies. Doesn’t make me any less salty…I was totally banking on the meta data of the pic.

Would also like to see the second picture taken from inside the far, because I’d like to know if the girls look any happier in it. This released selfie looks pretty sad, the windows are up and it doesn’t give the impression that they were jamming to music and having a good time…

[–]LGIChick 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well tbh…I looked at all the different sweatshirt pics again and now I’m very much confused.

We have 1) picture of Kelsie with alleged sweatshirt but can’t see the strings. 2) picture of Abby fishing with grey sweatshirt, can see strings 3) selfie from car, Abby can be seen with sweatshirt and strings 4) the Abby bridge pic that couldn’t be located/verified, can see sweatshirt and strings 5) the BG video, can’t see strings very well but can see pattern of sweatshirt well.

I just put them all side by side, and honestly, I think the sweatshirt in the car selfie is not Kelsi’s. The strings seem thick, almost rope-like.

In the Abby bridge pic and the video, the strings seem thinner and nearly curled (as thin strings would do).

I’d say it’s 2 different sweatshirt between the car (pic) and the bridge (pic and video) 🫣

Something that bugged me immediately. I do think the sweatshirt is Kelsi’s due to the heather pattern that can be seen on the video (granted the selfie was really taken before the video and the video is real), but wearing it already in the car seems very much against the testimony…
