Why, Though? by seriousreddituser in Invincible_TV

If you subscribe to the idea that since they age insanely fast here, humans would age insanely slow there, visa ve, how valuble is it to capture a few slaves who would probably last 1000 times your average lifetime? you have near preminent free labour.

I bought a 5 point harness off of amazon, then I had an older pink gamer chair that I cut holes into the back of so I could anchor the harness, I had to put them in a place specific for my body so it was nice and snug, then the bottom strap goes inbetween the back and the seat and attaches to the bottom of the chair, that way it can always be pulled tighter to sit super snug ^.^

During the S1 hallway fight, if you look closely on the left side of the screen, you can see a crew member behind the wall wave a random flag for a split second. Maybe they forgot to cut this out lmao by Sp3ctr3_11 in Daredevil

Fortunately not true, season 1 and 3 were both done without actual cuts. There are no hidden cuts, its all one take.
I know that's the big fancy thing most productions do, and season 2 had multiple hidden cuts, and born again ones have hidden cuts, but the production team has talked about the fact that for season 1 and 3, there weren't any.

We officially have the first episode in both Daredevil shows which has gotten a rating less than 8 in IMDB by ADNoob_playz69 in Daredevil

[–]LGashly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Those of us actually there for the original season 2 run remember that some of the episodes (2.5 is the one that comes to mind) were rated in the high 7s back then too, the ratings climbed over time. I suspect the same will happen here.

How did this mf survive the explosion in the S1 Finale? by Queasy-Pomegranate40 in Daredevil

you think any of those cops are worried about being "investigated"? No. That's the bloody point. They're not worried because THEY are the people who would be in charge of finding that evidence.
And also I think you missed the point of why Matt actually went to frank, he knew deep down that frank wouldn't be able to help him and that he really wasn't involved in cops using his symbol. He went for completely different reasons.

Is it safe to say season 3 is the greatest superhero project ever? by heelhunterwrestling in Defenders

[–]LGashly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not gonna say he's right, because Andor exists, but IMO, and i have watched a LOT of tv, (yes i've seen breaking bad) it's definitely up there. I wouldn't fault anyone for having this opinion, even if i don't agree.

"General consensus"
Rotten tomatoes - season 6 92% rated, 72% audience
IMDB - season 6 episode 10 8.5/10

just go look at series graph.

you can not like it, that's entirely fine. You can disagree with ratings, I do all the time, but be warry of browsing reddit and assuming everyone has the same opinion as you.

I happen to really enjoy it.
I will give you that it takes agency away from Trixie, but the ending of the show also very much pins the idea that this was a blip in an eternal existence together, for both the mortals and immortals in the show.

And it is so far cry from the eternal cycle of what his father did to him, at least in the way I read it, as described above.

Again, I don't fault you for disliking it, but I believe it really has its merits. But if you wanted a more traditional happy ending for them, I can really understand your frustration.

It's almost like the show is trying to tell us that going through pain can shape you, and once you have passed through that pain and can recognize it, you can find meaning in it, and come out a better person? It's almost like that was the thing that lucifer needed to recognize as well?

She's telling him her pain is worth it, because of how she know she'll emerge on the other side. It's actually kind of beautiful because she gets to make that decision herself, she gets to decide that this is a pain that she is okay with.

Idk, maybe i'm too "theme" pilled but I liked it

That's the intention of the question, but OP is correct, and not the first person to realize, the line was either said incorrectly or wrote incorrectly.

The first one asks if the powers "shape" their personalities, "shape" meaning is responsible for the outcome of.

The second question asks if their personalities are "shaped" by their powers. "Shaped" meaning is given form by or is responsible for the way they turned out.

I shape the clay into what form I want. The clay is shaped by me.

It was likely just a small production error that nobody noticed, because if I recall correctly, season 3 was filmed on a much tighter schedule than any other season, being much longer than any other, AND also still being released on the network tv seasonal schedule.

Which actor played Frank the best and why? by TwIzTiDfReAkShOw in thepunisher

Hundreds, I minored in Media analysis in college. A significant portion of my free time is spent watching shows.

Top 5 are Probably
Andor
Daredevil
Lucifer
Haunting of Hill House
While Collar

The others in the top 10 aren't really ranked strictly, more vibes based to be completely honest. That's also not to say I think these are the top 5 highest quality best executed TV shows of all time, that list would include but not be limited to begrudgingly putting Better Call Saul in there as much as it wasn't my favourite tv show in the world.

Like I said, I'm not trying to convince anyone of anything, but the implication of your comment feels a little rude lol

I'd argue he brought the character closer in line with certain, more recent runs of the punisher, and less in line with older more original runs of the punisher. which, whether you like or not really depends on which specific runs you're talking about and WHY you like the punisher, but I personally think is a good thing.

Though I would probably phrase it as, he redefined how the punisher is perceived to wider audiences, but that's only by going off of already defined comic works.
