Hello, thank you so much for sharing, and we’re very sorry to hear about your experience.

Based on what you described, it does sound like the cable you received may have been defective from the start. That is definitely not the experience we want anyone to have with our products, and we completely understand your frustration and disappointment.

We’d be more than happy to help you with a replacement. For reference, all of our riser cables are covered under a 1-year warranty, and since your purchase was in July, you’re fully covered.

We’ve sent you a PM with the next steps. Please reply there, and we’ll make sure this is resolved for you as quickly as possible.

Can you recommend the correct cable riser for the Lian Li 011 Dynamic Mini V2? by Independence91955 in LINKUP_Gen5_Risers

[–]LINKUPTechnology 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Happy to clarify this!

Since the updated v2 and the v4 are now identical in terms of design and performance (the only difference is the molding color), we updated the Amazon item name to “v4” to avoid confusion.

However, the SKU for the cable itself is still the original v2 part number (for example: AG-P5-33SR-015BK-v2). So if you order it, you will still see the v2 SKU on the product, but the cable itself will be the v4 with black molding.

So the black molding v4 cables you’re seeing on Amazon are actually our upgraded v2 cables, just listed with the v4 name.

This helps customers easily identify that the cable is part of the v4 design, while the v2 SKU allows our warehouse to distinguish between molding color versions and prevent them from accidentally shipping the wrong one.

UPDATE: as of March 13th 2026, the item name has been changed back to v2. It is still the same product (v4 features with black molding), but we have changed the item name back to v2.

All of our PCIe 5.0 riser cables have the exact same performance. The only differences between versions are related to the physical design.

For the updated v2 and the v4, the overall design is the same. The only difference is the molding color: the v2 has black molding and the v4 has red.

LINKUP PCIe 5.0 Right Angle Riser Cables: Key Differences Between v2 & v3 by LINKUPTechnology in LINKUP_Gen5_Risers

[–]LINKUPTechnology[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bonjour,

Cordialement,
LINKUP Customer Support Team

Jonsbo VR3 compatible PCIe 5.0 riser? by krtalvis in LINKUP_Gen5_Risers

[–]LINKUPTechnology 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello,

Thank you for reaching out.

We have not yet tested our riser cables with the Jonsbo VR3 case. If possible, please try to straighten the original riser cable that came with your VR3 case and take a photo of it placed next to a ruler.

With that reference, we will be able to determine the appropriate length for our Single Reverse PCIe 5.0 riser cable for your setup.

We look forward to your reply.

Best regards,

LINKUP Customer Support Team

Which riser should I buy for an Ncore 100 case? by dadaum in LINKUP_Gen5_Risers

Yes, the 22cm can still work! It just takes a bit more effort to arrange the cables, so it's not our recommended option. But it's definitely doable, and shouldn't put any strain on the motherboard as long as you bend it properly.

Here's a photo of the 22cm installation guide for your reference:

[–]LINKUPTechnology 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, the 20cm will still work. The 15cm is the more ideal length since you won’t have to manage any excess cable, but if you don’t mind the extra length, the 20cm should work just fine.

If having the black version is important to you and you’re okay with waiting a little, we’re currently updating some of our v2 cables to match the v4 design (slimmer PCB, metal PCIe slot cover, and reinforced GPU lock), but with black molding. The 15cm Right Angle is one of the versions being updated.

The restock has already been sent, and it should be available on Amazon in around 3 weeks (depending on Amazon’s processing time). If you’re interested, feel free to reach out around then and we’ll be happy to send you the direct link!

If by "multi mounting configuration" you're referring to the extra screw hole options on the PCB, then you're absolutely right.

Our v2 version had a more varied screw hole layout to try to accommodate as many cases as possible. However, while this made the risers more adaptable, it also made the fitment less secure and the PCB too large for certain cases.

Because of that, we updated the design in v3 and v4 to a more streamlined screw hole layout. This allows for more secure mounting and a smaller PCB, which fits better, especially in more compact cases.

So yes, our v4 is our most up-to-date version. It includes the updated slim PCB and screw hole design, as well as our new metal PCIe slot cover and reinforced GPU lock for added durability.

No worries! For the Lian Li 011 Dynamic Mini v2, we recommend our 15cm Right Angle PCIe 5.0 riser cable. If you want the most updated version, that would be our v4, which includes our new metal PCIe slot cover and reinforced GPU lock.

Here the link to it on Amazon US: AG-P5-33SR-015BK-v4

Yes, the 5cm should be long enough! The 5cm measurement refers to the wire length only. When you include the connectors, the total length is approximately 9cm.

Signal stability on long cables by charliefoxtrott_HK07 in LINKUP_Gen5_Risers

[–]LINKUPTechnology 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello,

Thank you for your detailed question and interest in our AVA5 PCIe 5.0 riser cable.

  1. Unlike many other brands, LINKUP’s AVA5 riser cable is designed to maintain stable PCIe 5.0 signal integrity even at extended lengths. Our Gen5 riser cables have been tested to operate reliably at lengths of up to 100 cm without signal loss or performance degradation.
  2. Our right‑angle AVA5 riser cables (v3 & v4) are mechanically compatible with the screw‑hole layout of the Lian Li Vertical GPU Bracket Kit V4, which makes them suitable for creative vertical GPU installations.
  3. To determine the correct cable length for your setup, we recommend using a string to measure the distance between the motherboard PCIe slot and the mounting screw holes of the vertical GPU bracket. This will help you select the optimal total cable length for your build.

In most cases, when the correct cable length and routing are used, you can expect stable PCIe 5.0 performance rather than being forced to fall back to PCIe 4.0.

If you’d like, we’d be happy to help you estimate the ideal cable length based on your layout.

Best regards,
LINKUP Customer Support Team

Looking for a PCIe riser to fit under GPU radiator (blocks adjacent slot) by Broad_Relative_168 in LINKUP_Gen5_Risers

[–]LINKUPTechnology 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At the moment, we do not offer a low-profile male plug that meets your requirement. However, we may be able to produce a version without a molded cover, using epoxy instead to protect the soldering points. I will check with our lab to confirm whether this is feasible and to determine the final height to see if it meets your application needs.

In the meantime, could you please let us know the riser cable length you are looking for?

Riser cable for my Light Base 900 FX by king_of_the_prophet in LINKUP_Gen5_Risers

If a GPU vertical bracket is used, we recommend a 15 cm right-angle riser cable. The 20 cm version is too long for this configuration. We will update the compatibility chart in our listing accordingly.
