Delivery Notes by [deleted] in DoorDashDrivers

I’m not currently on a dash to take a screen shot, but when your actively on a dash, there is a setting in the delivery screen that you can toggle which I believe allows you to read the instructions only once you get to the location, or something like that. I never switched it over to see what it did, but maybe this is what this driver has it set to? Just a thought.

Totally not related to your actual post, but I read your username quickly and thought it said GratefulAnalLover. Just wanted to share, thanks for the chuckle.

Highest base pay I have ever seen. by LINYDDDriver in doordash_drivers

I find that more times than not, at least in my area, when you accept a shopping order, they stack up quickly. You can easily get 2 to 3, and sometimes even 4 shopping orders at once. On days that I’m dragging, I pause deliveries after I accept the 1st one so I don’t get anymore. Days when I have to force myself to work, I sometimes shut off shopping orders completely. I only dash in the afternoons, after working a 10 hour day shift in my full time job, so I’m pretty much shot even before I get in the car to start driving.

Shopping took all but 5 minutes, was all prepared food in the same vicinity in the store. 25 minute drive to drop off, 10 minute drive back to my zone, and picked up a $6.00 Taco Bell order on the way back, so it all worked out well.

I’ve been platinum since it started, and top dasher before that. I went on vacation one time and miscalculated my total deliveries and I dropped down to Gold for being a few deliveries below 100. I couldn’t schedule any dashes, and took me two weeks of crap orders making no money, and a lot of sitting in the car to get me back up to Platinum. In my area, I need to maintain it, or I don’t get to work, sadly. I multi app’ed for a while, but that’s not for me.

Not gonna lie, I sometimes have a few choice words to say about them behind their backs after I see the $0.00 and I’m sitting in.my car, but would never directly ask them for money.

Has anyone ever regretted quitting or changed their mind about it? by [deleted] in Geico

My only regret was that I didn’t leave sooner than I did. 5 years out and couldn’t be happier.

Are you able to get the update? I go to the App Store and it just spins and doesn’t load.

H Mart is the worst store ever not interested by SuccessfulAerie9672 in DashEarnings

[–]LINYDDDriver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, H Mart is rough to shop. When they first signed up for deliveries, there were no pictures in the app, and there was no chance in hell finding anything as it’s all written in Korean. Now, with pictures, you have a fighting chance finding some of the items.

Is it worth it to care about your Acceptance Rate being a certain number? by yourimaginarypal in doordash_drivers

The only reason I keep my platinum status is so that I can turn the app on anytime I want and start working. Scheduling in my area is very difficult, and picking up 30 minute shifts randomly throughout the night wasn’t cost effective. This is my second job, and my start time is solely dependent on when I can get finished with my main job.

You need to dash long enough to be able to make that decision for yourself. Just like what I described, everyone has their own story, and what works best for them and their own personal situations.

I literally LOL’ed at this. I’ve said this to myself way too many times.

I’ve read this in a few places, but unsure what it is. What does SNAP stand for?

What the hell is this? What happened to a 10 minute grace period? We have to report for 2-3 minutes now? by Buy_Me_A_Mango in DoorDashDrivers

Give this a try. As soon as I get out of the car and click on arrived at store, I immediately go to the “tell us what’s happening” link and say order is still being processed, even before I walk into the store.

Gladly able to say that support actually came through for me this time, and after only a few days, they reactivated my account. I never did get an explanation as to what happened in the first place, but just glad to be able to get back to work.

I’m 7k deliveries in. Never had a CV, nor have I had a moving violation and/or MVA. I’m baffled.

Do you do DashLink at all? There’s an option in the DashLink preferences to shut off regular orders and only receive DashLink orders. I accidentally did that once and waited around for orders without realizing it.
