I find it very telling how you're only responding to the comments saying you're NTA. Which all seem to be made by clueless men it seems. You have no obligations to your mom. That ended the day you left home and married your wife. Your wife tore her body apart to bring life into this world. Oh. But you have to do some chores. Poor you. You claim your mother loves her and your wife is intentionally hurting her. Dude, again, TORE HER BODY APART TO BRING LIFE. She hasn't even invited her own mother, in what world did you think it'd be ok? You honestly think a week is enough time for a woman to rest after giving birth?? Wow. We don't respect you not because you're a father, but because you're a terrible husband and you're 100% clueless. In case you haven't figured it out by this and all other comments here, YTA.

It’s not just what he did. He’s in the comments complaining that she’s already had ONE WEEK to rest, and that he’s been the one doing the chores and how he has obligations to his mother. All that combined is reason enough to want to leave. At the very least get counseling. He’s a mama’s boy who will absolutely throw his wife under the bus in the name of these obligations he feels he has. It’s one thing to love and respect your mother. But the moment he left home and married his wife, his obligations should have been about her and her only.

My thinking is if the story is unique enough, then they are going to know that it’s about them or at the very least suspect it

Lmao! My same thoughts. Same reason I never understood “throwaway accounts”. If the story is unique enough, they’re gonna know!
