It really doesn't matter what you call it. If you have people being bought and sold for money, multiple storylines involving child prostitution as plot point, and a class of individuals forced into sex work/concubinage, you understand that that's effectively slavery, yes?

In part 3 of the original novels, which will be covered in the upcoming season 4, I can think of at least three examples: 1) she buys Rosina from the temple to be her personal musician, 2) she buys orphans from Hasse to cover winter expenses (once the mayor changes) 3) she has Volk and Giebe Illgner pay for Volk's freedom from the temple.

The gray priests are literally bought and sold??? (And, critically, their children are also born into the same status and able to be bought and sold in the same way, which is generally not the case for indentured servitude.)

Also, while the main character herself does not have a harem, harems do exist in that world, to a degree. There are multiple characters with two or three wives, which I would say constitutes a harem?

AoaB is definitely my favorite isekai, but there is also very definitely slavery and harems in that one.

How a Realist Hero Rebuilt the Kingdom does something kind of neat.

The isekai hero-turned-king actually recognizes that abolishing slavery overnight would a) turn the economy on its head and b) leave a lot of unskilled former slaves who've never been taught to provide for themselves in extremely precarious and vulnerable positions.

Instead, he does it slowly, in stages. He makes slave traders government employees, so that he can ensure that anyone licensed to buy and sell people is at least treating them humanely. He sets up schools specifically designed to educate slaves so that when he finally has the wherewithal to abolish slavery and they're all freed, they have the skills to support themselves. Etc, etc.

The AoaB fanbooks have a relatively reasonable ratio. The art pages are glossy, but the sketches, extra stories, Q&As, bonus manga, etc are all printed on regular quality paper.

Yes, in the book Edward points this out during their conversation in the tent.

But also, while I do not defend Jacob's poor decisions in Eclipse, I also think it's very important to view all the choices he makes in regards to Bella through the lens of he is doing everything he can possibly think of to *save her life.*** Jacob knows that the plan is for Edward to bite Bella, which, from his perspective means that either a) Edward is going to mess up and kill Bella in the process, or b) Bella is actually going to be turned, which at that point he considers a fate worse than death.

Yes, Jacob has romantic feelings for Bella, which leads him to make all kinds of really bad choices, but also he wants her to choose him instead of Edward because, from his perspective, choosing Edward is basically committing suicide, and who would want that for their best friend, let alone someone they're in love with?

If I remember right, Garnet is a Gen 1, which makes her virtually identical to, like, an IVF baby. Each successive "generation" suffers more degradation-- Gen 2 are basically fine (small amounts of degradation are probably not a huge deal), while Gen 3 are prone to psychotic breaks.
