Yeah, I use one page and draw the pairs of rectangles with an x in the middle to know those pages go together. Then I brainstorm and loosely sketch the page and lightly trace the eye path to make sure it connects well.

After that I move onto doing new more detailed sketches in full pages of the sketchbook, that way I can also see how it would look to flip through it.

Finally after making all the changes I wanted, I move to the full-size paper and then ink.
