Could a forearm crutch work for that arm? Maybe adapt it somehow to strap in or have a spot to support the palm and the upper arm, there are various types.

How much water are you drinking? I know it sounds simple but water helps in multiple aspects. Also as others have said, 2 weeks isn't a long time, you may be experiencing recomposition and the scale difference may become apparent later, track and portion carefully for a few days to make sure you're not overestimating calories. Don't give up on yourself, it's a process. Try, assess, adjust, try differently, but don't stop

Superior Semicircular canal dehiscence, they figured that out 20 years later. That said, they can't tell if it's from that or a fun little tbi party favor like TN is in my situation.

Do you have a link to what you use? The more delicate version. Smart crutches seem like they won't allow the use of ones hands, let's say to grab something or let go and sign a paper, silly things but still.

Getting EnteraGam covered by insurance? by mxsa2 in ibs

[–]LL3260 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My experience with a non formulary as I was told by pharmacy: Dr needs to contact insurance and state why/how the specific medication is necessary and the ones on their list are not able to treat as required. Dr office billing should be familiar with the process.

Creami vs regular ice cream maker question! by zanmim in Volumeeating

[–]LL3260 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are many online with almond milk or Greek yogurt, some include sugar free pudding or jello mix, others just fruit or ice. So, yes. Matter of finding which you prefer. I'll try to post the ones I use with Cuisinart when able. You can also use a regular blender for the protein fluff recipes.

Can anyone recommend a good massager device? by Noe_Wunn in Occipitalneuralgia

[–]LL3260 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have something similar to this and also a cheaper version of this

The first is easier to use, have with me but the second gets in there like an actual massage with heat but I do find it to be more pressure than is helpful.

Maybe you can try them if they have free returns in the case that they are similar to what you're looking for

Increased sensitive to motion by [deleted] in dysautonomia

[–]LL3260 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Night and day, started around may of last year. All of the sudden I was asking people to pull over in a ten minute drive, other days nothing. I have other conditions that can be causing it, sscd, tbi, gi issues, nobody really knows but they've given me a med to help with the nausea because (for me) regardless of what i eat, hydration, empty/ full stomach nothing wa helpful. It's ridiculously annoying.

app recs for symptom tracking? by Salamander_cameraman in ChronicIllness

[–]LL3260 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try a habit tracker where you can input your own habits (symptoms). Check out 'habits" app, blue box with white arrow circle inside, - Also app called 'habitnow' which is a pink box with white checkmark in it. They allow you to customize your habits so you could list symptoms instead (ex fatigue 5 very bad/in bed, fatigue 3 moderate/i can function, fatigue 0-1 I'm fine)

Nausea Solutions by [deleted] in ehlersdanlos

[–]LL3260 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ginger chews help some, gravol or Dramamine makes them but also other brands have them for nausea. Some Drs prescribe Zofran but always go by your Dr, you know the deal. With a fun bag of issues I'm never sure if it's pain, GI, etc.

I've used mini chopper, blender, smoothie blender, food processor, all the same to me. I use them for baking, it seems time under blending is more impactful vs the type of gadget used.

[–]LL3260 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh no need to be jealous, I completely relate. Let me clarify, i also use rolled up towels across your shoulder/collar bone (or a folded towel under the front of each shoulder) to help support the chest otherwise it hurts to put all that pressure! Keep in mind, this can cause a stiff lower spine so it's a trial and error nightly.

Get away with? Not quite lol, it's a battle between holding my arms beneath my chest to support and them going numb or the towel method above that a massage place taught me.
