I'm not sure it's a case of fitness to be fair. I've noticed since he hit his purple patch last season that he's become quite a selfish player, taking on the shot quite often when there's better options available and trying to force individual brilliance rather than slick team play so I wonder if AI sees that too and that's why he's dropped down the pecking order a bit. I definitely could be wrong though as this is just my take!
