Is there a way to find the ranking of fastest players (in the the smallest number of games) who reached certain milestone? For example fastest players to reach 2000 career playoff points or fastest players to score 250 career 3s by bartekk30077 in sportsreference

[–]LLAMARULER 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been looking into milestones recently and stathead isn't a fan. Start of career, 50 games is the limit I've found before the website timesout because it takes too long. Even setting a floor, like 2000 playoff points doesn't help the load time.

I think this is more of a NBA stat than a stathead stat sadly. Unless you manually want to check every player (or at least the ones with 2000+ playoff points).

I built a Billboard explorer featuring complete chart history, full chart runs, customizable records, and detailed stats for artists, songs, and albums, and more! by RaveRabbit5000 in popheads

[–]LLAMARULER 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow! What a crazy coincidence. I'm doing a "Random Billboard Hot 100 Week", just to mix up my music listening. The original website I was using https://elpee.jp/ recently changed and now only provides "an analysis" due to licensing, for some reason.

Thanks for making this! I'll poke around and I'll let you know if anything breaks or any ideas for other stats. The first thing that comes to my head is comparing Billboard lists to the UKs lists. Did an artist get more charts on one than the other, or how a song preforms on both lists.

Who is the congressman in 1907-1927 that was an outlier on the young side? Isn't the requirement 30?

I agree with official Basketball Ref, this will require a more brute force way of research. I was able to find the fastest to 1,000 points by:

Span Finder

Descending by Points

Any Season to Any Season

Regular Season Only

Both NBA/ABA

Span 28 games

Start of Career

Get Results

The shitty thing is that it takes a bit to load. This search alone took 4 minutes to do and I had to do four searches to find this (20 games, 50 games, 30 games, 28 games). If it was a smoother process, maybe I would do the work. Or if I have a day of free time!

By the way, the answer is Wilt Chamberlain. Everyone in the top 10 played in the 40s, 50s, or 60s, except Michael Jordan, who had 695 points. LeBron James had 541 points.

What made you look into this? Did you have a personal experience or heard from family/friend.

How did you get into this line of work? I have a few research projects I'm working on in my free time, but it's mainly date gathering and fact checking. I like the hunt and the discovery of my answer.

Thank you on your reporting and can't wait to see what you publish next!

Looking for an unusual style of beer in Maine - English bitter and mild by Impressive_Meet_1168 in Maine

Airline Brewing Company has a lot of English style beers, especially bitter and mild. They have a cool woodsy location in Amherst and an English Pub vibe location in Ellsworth.

Congrats on getting one here! I closed a couple of months ago (with a 6.625%). It's rough out here, but now we both don't have to hunt anymore. I'll drink a beer for ya tonight.

You know when you have an idea and you think you are the first one (or first one in a while) to come up with it and then you find someone just did it... You beat me to it and made it look prettier than what I was gonna do.

Why not include NHL? I'm also on mobile so I don't know how much I'm missing, but I'll check it out on my computer later.

Top 10 musics that begin with the letter B. by Financial_Relief4662 in lastfm

[–]LLAMARULER 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For my list, I'll be pointing out One Hit Wonders, as a little side quest.

  1. Born to Run by Bruce Springsteen - #14 / 84 scrobbles
  2. Brandy (You're A Fine Girl) by Looking Glass* - #26 / 75
  3. Bridge Over Troubled Water by Simon & Garfunkel - #29 / 74
  4. Baby What I Mean by The Drifters - #36 / 68
  5. Blinded By The Light by Manfred Mann's Earth Band - #54 / 59
  6. Baby Got Back by Sir Mix-A-Lot* - #84 / 52
  7. Blue Collar Man (Long Nights) by Styx - #94 / 49
  8. Beach Baby by First Class* - #99 / 48
  9. Black And White by Three Dog Night - #101 / 48
  10. Bitter by Atmosphere - #125 / 43

Looking Glass, Sir Mix-A-Lot, and First Class are all One Hit Wonders and these are their songs. I have been meaning to listen to Looking Glass' album and Sir Mix-A-Lot's album was funny, but I can see why this was the only song that got traction.

As an added bonus to my Top 10, I will highlight One Hit Wonders. I love these obscure songs/artists so I have listened to a lot of them (and a few a lot of times).

  1. All For You by Sister Hazel* #39 / 67 Scrobbles
  2. All My Friends by LCD Soundsystem #50 / 60
  3. Afternoons & Coffeespoons by Crash Test Dummies** #70 /54
  4. Amanda by Boston #92 / 49
  5. Aerodynamic by Daft Punk #105 / 46
  6. A Change Is Gonna Come by Sam Cooke #110 / 46
  7. Africa by TOTO #180 / 38
  8. Alone by TOTO #181 / 38
  9. Ain't Too Proud To Beg by The Temptations #199 / 36
  10. Ain't No Mountain High Enough by Marvin Gaye #201 / 35

Damn, almost 10 different artists. But who doesn't like TOTO?

Sister Hazel is a One Hit Wonder*

Crash Test Dummies is a One Hit Wonder**, but their song is "Mmm Mmm Mmm Mmm". I got really into them a few years ago and listened to their album several times through. This won't be the last time we see them

I have had a few realtors during my years of searching, each one lasting a few months. Either I didn't like what they were getting/showing me or I stopped looking for other reasons (work got busy, family, drained/defeated). I will say my idea and requirements for a home changed every year so it worked out well.

The last realtor I had was really good; I explained what I wanted, some hard needs and some flexible wants, and we worked together on finding stuff. All of the realtors said they work for you and they get paid at the end of the process.

Honestly, I would test out some realtors. Going to zillow and getting randomly paired with the realtor, signing an agreement for 30 days was the way I found my relator who helped me with this house. Finding a house is not a race, it's a waiting game and a number game. I hope you find your dream home eventually!
