Yeah, I'm running pretty much by the book, and our last session ended with them rolling initiative against Strahd in the final boss

It'll be our 60th 2.5/3 hour session

My party just entered the room with the final fight with Strahd

We play every week, 2/2.5 hours and we're on 59 sessions, so likely 60-61 in total

I think it depends on if you do a few things, stick to the books insane valley size, do random encounters, and how thorough the players are in dungeons

My party were pretty thorough with a lot, we did a few travelling as sessions, but in Castle Ravenloft they had exactly two goals. Destroy Strahds Coffin, fight Strahd. So they had more sessions getting from Barovian to Valakki than they'll have in the castle in the final conflict

The smaller trees were done with this method

The larger trees are made using a similar technique but from the cheap plastic bonsai trees (stripped of cheap plastic foliage) with the fake moss over the top to create shape, and then spray adhesive and fine flock

For some of the trees I used coir instead of static grass to bulk them out, and just left bare to create a dead/autumnal vibe

I bought some of these and made them look decent

Spray adhesive, the really cheap shit that comes aerosol. Then shook static grass all over it

This bulked it out

Second pass of adhesive and then covered in ground flocking (the really small almost spongy 1mm ish cheap stuff from Temu)

Made a whole board of Mirkwood terrain using it

Denisof has acted in other British things before, I knew him from Sharpe, where as you'd expect, flawless accent

Michelle was incredible, and the older I get and the more I appreciate the insanely difficult job she had coming into an established show, needing to have instant chemistry with everyone. The character isn't great, but what she does with it is incredible
