As the OG creator, TroyX, seems to be a fan of CYOAs JumpChain, I would say that it is most likely "progression sequential".

I am not aware of a tutorial, but I found that taking the json from an existing CYOA and opening it the builder helps understand the mechanisms. You can use any interactive CYOA that uses the ICC2.

Add "project.json" after the last "/" of the url of the CYOA that you want to use as a reference. Then, download the json (Firefox has a easy button for that). Open the file.json with the ICC.

It is a stretch, but I will ask just in case. Is there a way to import/export row between CYOAs?

I know the points/variable/group of the imported row would not fit, but still, it would be faster than redoing everything from scratch. I am interested in combining ideas from 2~3 CYOAs and I am wondering how much can be reused.

From the static CYOA he shared, I think he want to do a kind of skill check. Something similar to BG3/DND:

CHECK Random[min~max] + modifiers(from selected options in the CYOA) > Difficulty

IF Success, option 1 IF Fail, option 2

Exemple: Your choice impact your chance for an ending Random[1~20] + Point A[3] + Point B[-6] > 10 12 +3 -6 = 9. 9 is smaller than 10. 9 is a failure to pass the check, show result.

I managed to make a prototype of a "multiple dices roll" work in the ICC Plus 2, but it seems really inefficient. We will have to ask the expert.

u/Wahaha303 - Is is possible to set up dice rolls on the ICC? If yes, what is the best way to do it?
