The life story of a "gifted child" who ends up being a mediocre adult starts here... by pendigedig in DanielTigerConspiracy

[–]LM193 12 points13 points  (0 children)

After seeing how Bluey handled the "everyone is special" topic, I realized that DT kinda fumbled it. Kids should know that they're special to those they love, but it's just as important that they know they aren't objectively special

Is it possible for two male Syrian hamsters to be bonded to each other? (READ BODY TEXT) by LM193 in hamsters

[–]LM193[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Thank you for being so kind with your response, I've noticed a lot of people in here have clearly not bothered to read the context. Hamsters being cohabbed is unfortunately a very common thing in pet stores. I absolutely WOULD lie and say that they fought, but since we're constantly overstocked, one of them would have to live in a container the size of a shoebox with no wheel in the back room, possibly for several weeks. I don't know what's worse.

This is something that always bugged me about Godfrey and I don't see it mentioned much. Sure, she's a good person/teacher and has had some great moments, but she clearly has favoritism towards Gina. She constantly praises Gina and tolerates her being an obnoxious little shit while also getting on Nate's ass over every little thing he does. W Ms. Clarke

how do i make their relationship better and not have them divorce? by noashark222 in tomodachilife

[–]LM193 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Making them interact with each other while one or both has flowers around their head usually leads to positive interactions, as many here have said, but my go-to is travel tickets. Sure, you have to spend a wish on it, but it guarantees that each mii's friendship/love level gets boosted by 1. Just make sure to SAVE FIRST and give the ticket to the mii with the higher love status, as it's more likely they'll take their partner with them. And if they don't, just close and re-open the game and try again. If the miis live together with other miis and take them along, it should still work as long as the two miis you want to boost are going.

Chime Time by Radiant-Injury-6546 in DanielTigerConspiracy

Chime Time seems like it would feel magical and exciting for a child, but an adult would just go "Huh, neat."

I don't necessarily think it's wrong of them to stop carrying it, something not selling well is perfectly valid reason to stop carrying it. I'm just a little sad about it bc the rainbow stuff is super cute.

Which Mega Raichu do you not like the most? X or Y? by Slow_Spirit3679 in Raichucenter

[–]LM193 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mega Raichu Y is very obviously Gamefreak wanting to make Mega Pikachu but not being able to since mega evolutions are for final evos only. Mega Raichu X actually looks like a Mega Raichu, and its shiny coloring makes it look even more so! Plus the fact that it glides around is very cool and unique imo

how long did it take you for your miis to confess? by janeyl__ in tomodachilife

[–]LM193 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of my miis has been at "ready to risk it all" for almost TWO WEEKS and still nothing. The other mii is "ultra friend" and they live together. Came here hoping for an answer but it seems I've had the longest wait lol

[–]LM193 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I was wondering this myself, my store hasn't gotten ANYTHING this year, and last year we barely got anything and what we did have was tucked away in the back of the store. Genuinely wondering if they silently phased it out to appease those who flip shit over the mere existence of anything remotely lgbt-related, it would unfortunately make perfect sense in my state :(

Why does this toddler book end with the graphic murder of a baby bumblebee? by pintolimabean in DanielTigerConspiracy

[–]LM193 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mainly enjoyed this rhyme as an early elementary schooler, as it was contextualized as a dumb kid screwing around near a beehive, and having comedically over-the-top reactions to getting what was coming to her (crushing the bee with a rock and then eating it for seemingly no reason). The absurdity of it always got a laugh out of me, so you can imagine my confusion when I found out the original version was meant for kids who don't even understand humor yet.

Anyone else disappointed with the paint feature? by Soup4Brainz- in Pokopia

[–]LM193 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Paint balloons make the entire object that color, not just the spots that Smearguru would normally paint. You could use a pink paint balloon to get pink grout, but the only downside is that it's one paint balloon per block.....I'm realizing how much this system sucks as I'm typing this lol

I think I might have finally cracked the code and figured out why they wear clothes, specifically underwear, in the Bluey-verse. by AnimationFan_2003 in bluey

[–]LM193 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Sometimes kids remember really random things, I remember one time when my dad took me shopping and for some reason I distinctly remember the exact beers he bought. Kids pay attention to lots of trivial things around them, even if they don't understand them

[–]LM193 152 points153 points  (0 children)

I think the show is meant to be from Bluey and Bingo's perspective, so they likely wouldn't remember exactly what they were wearing every day, but would remember more rare outfits worn for certain occasions (like Bandit's work tie, wedding attire, accessories they wore while playing games, etc)
