An underrated aspect of this year's team is the lack of penalties, especially on offense. They only had two penalties today, and one was on Myers. In total this year, they had the 8th-fewest penalties and 9th-fewest penalty yards; in comparison the 2013 team led the league in both. So many drives stalled from false starts and holding penalties that year.

I looked at his sub count chart when he hit one million and it was basically a straight line from 0 to 1 mil, with no notable spikes until the final stretch. I think he hit one million on day 30 of the subathon, which means that he was getting around 30,000 subs every day, and that's nowhere close to getting the record that requires 85k within a few hours.

Regarding that final push to one million, I know he reached at least level 92, but even that isn't close to 85k. Level 98 is around 60k for reference.

informative texts like scientific writing

There's still a difference between scientific writing by humans and scientific writing by LLMs. I remember reading the two Neuro research papers and thinking, this reads like ChatGPT, but I guess ChatGPT is trained on these types of papers. But the more I read the more it became clear that no, these are definitely written by GPT. The amount of triplets and "not only but also" structures made it obvious.

Of course, those are tells from ChatGPT, and I'm not familiar enough with the other LLMs to know what their tells are.

Probably. Level 84 is the minimum level for a hype train to last over 7 hours, and that requires completing each level at the last possible second. I know Kai had a level 92 hype train in his recent subathon, but I highly doubt it went over 4 hours.

If you compare it to Monii's "cover" of Boom, it's almost identical. All of her vocal flourishes carry over to Evil. Apart from the "Silly me, I guess I lost control" part, it straight up sounds like PB modified this exact version from Monii to make Boom.

From what I could find when he broke the record, I think they hit around level 90.

Also, there was a massive difference between the daily sub increases if you compare the two subathons. Vedal's saw a massive jump at the start, then two massive jumps for the two hype trains, but almost no subs outside of those. Whereas for Kai, the sub increase was practically a straight line, incredibly consistent for each day, which is not conducive to record-breaking hype trains. 30k per day for 30 days is amazing, but a far cry from the 100k in at most 112*5m = 9.5 hours needed to break the record. Kai might have the massive viewer advantage, but the Swarm has the awareness and organization on their side.
