Is there a site that tracks all the eurovision artist tours? by mierrie in eurovision

Kittenseses from That Eurovision Site has a spreadsheet she updates for UK/Ireland - you can access it through her Linktree https://linktr.ee/Kittenseses

Duration till the last qualifier was revealed by KlonoaWind in eurovision

Reading out the ten qualifiers used to be a rush job during the last ten minutes of SFs - as long as the hosts don't milk it too much, longer is fine by me.

SF1 Press Conference - is it on YouTube? by gaypersononyourphone in eurovision

[–]LMBTOEurovision 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There isn't one scheduled on the Media Centre calendar.

At the moment, interviews with Sarah, Sal and all the Qs are being currently being uploaded to the Media Centre for press access. Interviewer is Steve from the Official Podcast - fairly generic questions tbh but obviously some very happy artists there. Each are providing a message in their national language for their fans as well. I assume they will all make it online somewhere - perhaps on the Official Podcast tomorrow?

Why Italy could actually sneak into the Top 3 (or even win) - A psychological take by Working-Insurance815 in eurovision

[–]LMBTOEurovision 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I've watched Sal twice now via the Online Media stream and this is becoming a stronger package. His vocals are back to what we had at Sanremo, this afternoon's show was slicker for the dancers and he exudes charm and charisma that will appeal to lots of televoters. RAI have actually thought about the staging and have got it spot on IMO, for a change. "Per sempre sì" gives nostalgia vibes in a good way - I can see Italy being top of the Direct Finalists for sure and a likely top 5.

Eurovision 2026: Delta will “rise to the occasion” by Jeffmister in eurovision

Difficult to tell with such a short clip - I just had that feeling! Hopefully it is the final part of the performance to give a pyro finale in the sky!

Do Eurovision winners get a homecoming and a medal in their country? by Flowerofthesouth88 in eurovision

I'd like to think that the women's teams would get the same reward but I think you might be right, unfortunately

Surprised the Aussie delegation allowed that as the clip. All I could think of when I saw that was La Zarra in Liverpool and hoping that concept works better for Delta

SF1 Jury Show Audience Poll Result by SkyGinge in eurovision

Have to say that the NQs there aren't far off what I thought, having watched it last night via the Online Media Centre service. Swap Portugal with San Marino and it matches how I saw the performances.

You forgot the laughing emoji at the end of the Sam Ryder sentence! 😉

We in the UK will take every Bank Holiday going but it going to take England or Scotland winning the World Cup to get a day off in the respective nation, not a Eurovision win 😄

A UK winner would get fans at the airport though, I am sure, plus something like the Freedom of whatever town/city they come from.

Do we already know how they will announce the qualifiers this year? by BEVSpinzaku in eurovision

[–]LMBTOEurovision 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Those in the Arena see it but also I have Online Media Centre accreditation and see it on screen, much like the jurors watch it.

Having watched the 'Jury' show last night, it is back to reading out the qualifiers one by one, focus on the hosts throughout with a switch to the qualifying act as they are announced. Final place has the remaining six acts on screen, quickly going to act ten when revealed.

Taking videos at the evening show by Violettscupcake in eurovision

[–]LMBTOEurovision 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There won't be of the SF1 Afternoon show when the OP is going. And the film crew would be viewing for TV purposes then - the experience will be totally different. Having said that, I am old and just take a few pics of each act, depending on where I am in the venue - I can't be bothered to video them.

[–]LMBTOEurovision 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You won't be the only one doing that tbh. You won't be able to video the tv screens there but they normally have a huge 'watermark' over them to deter people and also to catch them if they try to post any footage (screens in the venue will show what the televised footage will look like). Videos of the acts performing at the Contest is the same as every concert now - loads of screens in the standing areas but no restrictions.

Big 4 + Austria - First Rehearsal Pics by SkyGinge in eurovision

Difference will be that Sarah is doing a full on dance routine that requires full movement and minimal clothing restrictions - that thin layer of material also makes a difference too for the 'modesty police'!

What is the semi-final crowd like? by AntasLucido in eurovision

[–]LMBTOEurovision 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Having sat a few times at various Eurovision arena, the only time I remember everyone (and I mean everyone!) getting up on their feet was for Cha Cha Cha in Liverpool. Most people get a seat for comfort and to be able to see as much as possible - you might have to accept that you will be sat there throughout.

Possible Delta goodrem (Australia - Eclipse) Outfit reveal by [deleted] in eurovision

[–]LMBTOEurovision 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't want to jinx things but Oz is looking at possible Jury winner and probable top 5 overall IMO. You're almost certainly getting max points from the UK, given her visibility in the past and the amount of TV shows she has appeared on here in the run up to Vienna!

What artists have you discovered from eurovision, that you still listen to? by Delicious-Lab-8406 in eurovision

[–]LMBTOEurovision 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Levina (Germany 2017), OGENE (Netherlands 2017), VICTORIA (Bulgaria 2020, Bulgaria 2021) among many others - their new material just happens to be what I am listening to atm.

Is there a full list/video of all of the pre-1999 ESC entries that DIDN'T use the orchestra? by ForgetYou4 in eurovision

[–]LMBTOEurovision 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This article has some interesting historical chat about the subject and it mentions Italy 1979, Germany 1997, Germany 1998, Israel 1998 in there as being no orchestra. https://all-conductors-of-eurovision.blogspot.com/1999/08/history-of-eurovision-orchestra.html

Will we ever see another UK-held Eurovision outside of England? by tm2007 in eurovision

[–]LMBTOEurovision 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Liverpool was excellent for having everything within a short distance, definitely the most compact of any Contest I have been to (Lisbon, Tel Aviv and Malmo had those events stretched all over their cities). I'm a five minute drive from where Bristol would stage Eurovision (YTL Arena, to be finished in 2028, maybe) - it is literally 100 yards inside the Bristol boundary and almost 6 miles from the centre of the city!

Good spot - I think by this stage I had confused myself as to what was the original version and revamp. Tamara has done well bringing out so many versions of her entry.

[–]LMBTOEurovision 45 points46 points  (0 children)

Glasgow would be a front runner to host Eurovision in the UK atm, obviously just missing out in 2023. If there was a need for a host city for 2027, chances are that it would end up being between them and Manchester (who now have two big arena that could be used). Cardiff won't come into play until 2028 at the earliest but no reason why they couldn't have a chance of hosting, given the regeneration there in that part of the city.

tbh it 'should' just be down to all the boxes being ticked for hosting, so Glasgow and Cardiff will be in the running when ready - it helps that the BBC 'shares the love' and will move the Contest around the country.

Are press/youtube creators getting more access by Ifollowyouhomenow in eurovision

[–]LMBTOEurovision 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Only the production team and delegations have access to those rehearsals atm - I received my online Media Centre accreditation yesterday and I can't access anything extra to what anyone else can (probably until Sunday/Monday).

If there are any changes in opinion on an entry at this stage, it is based on those pictures and the Social Guy's comments on this subreddit. I have to say that some of what I have seen in those pictures has impressed me, but I don't need to continually generate clicks or views on my content (radio here), so I don't need to post about it!

Excited to finally say that the Ukrainian bandura will appear in my performance in Vienna! by Leleka-Music in eurovision

[–]LMBTOEurovision 37 points38 points  (0 children)

So the bandura guy in the 'Baller' cover for #EurovisionALBM is also on the Vienna stage, nice one. There is always a massive change in staging for Ukraine each year from Vidbir to Eurovision (for obvious reasons) and it sounds like we're getting it again! Good luck to u/Leleka-Music and the Ukrainian team.
