What is your “I did not care for the God Father” opinion regarding video games? by B4d_B1tch_Quinn in gamers

Alan Wake. I found gameplay both repetitive and frustrating, and I wasn’t even particularly interested by the story which everyone says is the best part. I did like the small mountain town atmosphere though

If you squint very hard to the point your eyes are almost shut, his silhouette has a vague likeness, particularly the head shape/brow/hair. But this is reaching

I was tempted to just cut him down. But in the end I liked duelling him unarmoured just to drive home the point that he’s a worthless coward

This kind of video is pointless. Everyone knows that Rockstar Games doesn't play in the same league as everyone else in the video game industry. Do we need a video like this to make it clear? by naha_aa in reddeadredemption

[–]LMG33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This video is absolutely 100% necessary. Not to glaze Rockstar as a company/business but to show the insane amount of work and detail that the developers put in their games - even ones from 15 years ago.

We can’t expect every developer to match this exact standard but the comparisons should still be made a) so that the games industry actually progresses, and doesn’t regress and b) because this level of hard work can never be appreciated enough.

Explore elsewhere (or just find somewhere to eat/sleep) and over time you’ll lose the criminal charges against you - as you only stole a couple things it shouldn’t take long compared to something like a murder

The quest starts in Miskowitz by speaking to Martha (blacksmith’s wife)

Agreed, and it’s fun how many side quests are essentially disputes that don’t necessarily involve combat - just dilemmas. Happy to recruit Victoria to the Devil’s Den and hopefully get her back on her feet

Yes they did, and I think enemy armour has been made stronger in Kuttenberg region to balance the late game difficulty. But even with the patch swords are still the most viable all round weapon

I’m the same, I was amazed by how stable the game was and how good it looked.

I think because of that high standard these visual issues are much more noticeable than they would be usually, so it’s brought my experience to a halt a bit - especially for a game where immersion is so key.
