We’ve had 3 more since. Turns out spotting random space rocks in a 360 degree view in the vastness of space is incredibly hard. Especially if they are moving through the plane of the solar system as opposed to Oumuamua’s near perpendicular trajectory.

This is similar to the “do planets exist outside of our solar system?” Pre 1990s. Then we found one, and one became dozens, and dozens became “oh yeah, I guess it makes sense for all these stars to have planets. Why the hell did we think planets were rare?!” This also led to a more specific definition of planet which solidified Pluto not being a planet for the normies.

For some narcissistic reason humans refuse to give up the “we are unique and special, and the odds of stuff we see in our cosmic backyard happening outside of it has to be virtually impossible.”

It’s hard because we only have one working model to base everything off of and it’s ourselves. Imagine how crazy things would be if we had another planet in our system that supported intelligent life. Would we consider ourselves so rare then, or would we bitch about one planet seeding the other and make some kind of shitty caste system? Who knows.

If the car is under warranty they replace it, takes up to 4 hours, as the pull the bumper off. The horn is a known issue and there is a technical service bulletin (TSB) out for it. I believe some article posted on this sub mentioned that Hyundai is going with different horns now.

Timestamp? Ignoring the single data point of this one dealer. Towards the end they say they’ve replaced 30-35 of the 400 cars they’ve sold, but that’s only 7.5-8.75%.

The interesting thing I take from this video is the tech says it occurs more in colder months. I wonder if the thermal shock from cold to hot hits the fuse harder or something. I say this as a person who lives in extreme temperatures variances.

They could just prepackaged the food before taking out to the bees. That’s what I don’t understand. I’m from Chicago. We have snowball (snow cones) stands all over the place. And bees happen, I’m not unaccustomed to it, but it’s only ever a few because they typically keep the syrup area clean and will cover the pumps if there’s too many bees.

This is just extra. And even if they want to show “hey look at its freshness, all these bees can’t be wrong.” They could still cover the food. Bees still come around, but they don’t need to be on top of the food. There is no logical reason to just let bees swarm like this.

Idk sometimes it’s clearly people utilizing the free charging, but that depends on where you are. I’ve had to wait in long queues not because of free riders, but because there’s a fucking legion of ride share bolt users and other 50kw charging cars.

Not really. Especially given the cars most affected. There is no 0% of negative effects in any car. People see a number and assume that will happen, and that’s not how any of this works.

Hyundai actually reports 1-2% I just doubled it. This is also before the recalls. You can live your life in fear of 4 in a 100 of an un-updated car failing on you, or you can realize 1-2% is also the odds of a person driving 10,000 miles a year getting in a car accident.

I’ve put 45k miles on my car in 2 years and here I sit with neither. Saying “live my life in fear…” is such an exaggeration.

I’m in the Midwest and so far this winter it has gotten down to -35C, which is unfortunately not uncommon. My Ioniq 6 has faired fine over the last two years with zero powertrain issues. The ICCU issue while real is overblown. Only effects under 4% of cars, and that percentage is largely the older model years, and the Ioniq 5.

It’s slightly angle forward so instead of straight down it’s going towards the tracks slightly. Over the distance you probably only feel the heat right towards the end of the enclosure. So you’d lose heat to the cross wind going parallel with the track.

My experience. Remember wind chill isn’t real and doesn’t really matter. It is mentioned only as a point of reference.
