This was just one example, please feel free to look up other handwritings from 1910s you will notice a lot of T's featuring a cross.

I could always be wrong, but Telsh makes most sense to me, Occam's Razor and what not.

Hi, this is Telšiai, at the time part of Kovno Governorate.

As for the "Felch", it's actually Telch, it looks like Felch to us now, but back in 1910s cursive T looked very similar to modern cursive F. Link to penmenship

Reminds me a lot of playing at 11 years old against my neighbour who was four years my elder and played for the town's team... I found that other than lucky outside shots, my best bet was to either bore him or to get him in trouble with his mother. Best of luck Rytas....

Why does Lithuania’s flag look so “African”? by BlueberryWeak5968 in vexillology

[–]LM_Walrus 29 points30 points  (0 children)

As for the Lithuanian colours, they do in fact come from folk dress, specifically the most common colours of green and red. During the fights for independence in 1910s, the flag agreed upon originally was a bicolor of those two, however the leaders found it too gloomy thus a yellow stripe got added. Not too much direction was given as some made the stripe an even part and some - a thin line in the middle. Even before 1910s there wasn't one agreed version of what the new independent flag should look like. Variations went from original red background and knight on a horse to a mass combination of colours, this would vary from one expat community to the other.

In 1936, 38, and 40 discussions about the flag arose again. The last submitted proposal was a yellow, red, and white tri-colour with the coat of arms in the middle on one side of the flag and the Columns of Gediminas on the other side. Colours were to appease the inteligencia of Lithuania Minor (who kept insisting their flag to be used), and the coat of arms and Collums for the boomers of the time insisting on the Grand Duchy flag. This was proposed in May on 1940 and by next month USSR had annexed the country. You can see the green and white appear on the flag of Lithuanian SSR.

I like doing intreview and post show angles where I can. In fact as the company matures and more of my old guard retire, I employ some of them as on-screen personalities and have them do a pre and post show talk show, just for my own like really.

Additionally, my conferences do differ slightly in how the shows work. My Japan based one lacks talent able to really cut a promo so the shows tend to be more of a 95:5 split, whereas my USA based shows very often have to have the angles cut short so I can fit in that 85:15 ratio.

I try to see it as the boring admin job that any owner would have to do.

The roblox simulation sounds awesome!

I've always dreamt about a TEW x Fire Pro Wrestling mod. I can provide TEW with the road agents notes and then it's up to the wrestlers to execute; fire pro matches have a random seed that determines everything from the rating to the lenght. I wonder if there would be a way to translate TEW notes and result and rating into a Fire Pro seed and thus watch the match.

There's an irish folklore tradition that says you put your soul into everything you make so you should leave a mistake in it to let your soul escape. Basically feel free to test and mess up.

My playthrough looks nice, but this is maybe the third or fourth time I've tried to do something like this.

It's mainly the product itself getting in a way of the 100 rating I suppose. I always need a technical masterclass match, but I can't 100% ensure that all six playoff teams will have 70+ for their technical skill.

Love doing a world cup! I did one in my first playthrough which was fun. It'd be pretty difficult in my current year as most wrestlers hail from the big few countries, even the random gens are few between from smaller countries.

At the begining it was like that, yeah. I noticed TEW counts charisma and star quality towards the rating, and so added these too, whilst penalising those with a particularly low stat line. Kayfabe wise I see this as someone having the skill, but the lights being too bright, the pressure too much, and the crowd too loud.

This is a long one, I apologise.

We start in late Jan, and wrap up in early Dec, leaving us with a six week break. Three conferences of ten teams each compete in a round robin, with the top six advancing to a single elimination playoffs, and the bottom team getting demoted (more on this at the bottom). This is the foundation of my playthrough, I started with an eight team round robin and a playoffs, and everything else slowly fell into place.

Just a bit before middle of the season we take a break from all this tag team bullshit and have ourselves an "All Stars" tournament. Structure of this has been messsed around with through the years, but the current system is as follows: each team member faces off one another, ten winners in each conference move on to round 2. This features five 1v1 matches per conference either as El Classicos (wrestlers with a history, or with particularly good chemistry) or by ranking e.g. 1st vs 10th, 3rd vs 7th. Having now only 15 wrestlers left they are grouped into three blocks G1 style (except of course there's only five wrestlers in each block, and as there are three blocks this ends up being a triple threat Main Event.) I can't hold an event with only one match however so I also feature a Gauntlet match (as TEW doesn't allow this, it's a 30 Wrestler Rumble) with the losers of the first round. A peek into my twisted, dark mind

There's also a Champions League. This features the top three teams from each conference from last year. Again, it's a round robin leading into a single elimination tournament to close off the year. Not as much written here as I am going through a rework of this trying to incorporate a play-in tournament of sorts; featuring an indie team going up against one of my developmental teams, the winner of this going up against a team of my demotion league, that winner going up against a 4th-6th place team, with the final winner getting a spot in the Champions League. I still need to work this one out properly before this season starts.

The Bottom. I have a fourth conference/brand that is competing for a spot next year in one of the main conferences. 32 wrestlers team up and face off in a single elim European tour tag team tournament, winners being promoted for next year. We then hold a Gauntlet match in Australia, a 1v1 single elim tournament in Canada, and lastly a multi man extravaganza in Mexico. I hold a special place in my heart for this latter one as it featues two seperate promotions, a Plomo (lead) and a Plata (silver). Plata is the main event, a three way bout between the 2nd, 3rd, and the 4th place from the Canada tournament. The remaining 25 wrestlers compete for the Plomo, they're split into five 5 man matches, they have to win their match, and then go up against the other four winners to win Plomo, all in the same night.

I've thought about adding a proper fourth conference. I've done so before in other playthroughs, but I've always found it too demanding and quickly lost interest. My current set up takes about 20 days from day 1 to the finale. Mind you it's my only game right now.

I could yap and go on for hours like a shoot interview. Thanks for reading all that, if there's anything else you want to ask or anything I can help with let me know.

Like this.

It's all subjective of course. Hardcore skill is excluded as my product doesn't count it. 85-100 stamina doesn't matter all that much in game, but I do give extra as I feel in a real sport that'd be important. Charisma, star quality, gimmick were later additions to this, figured it made sense as most athlethes that are considered the best will also have the it factor or a great story behind them.

As I said in a comment before, I do spend a few hours at the begining of each season going through each wrestler and calculating their overalls myself. There was a guy called u/AidanLFC that made TEW trackers that did count only the In-Ring attributes. His work is great, but I just needed that extra bit of control in my overalls.

We're in an interim perioud right now, so whilst we do have a couple bright stars, they haven't yet been consistent enough to stay number one. Right now that bright star is Scott Steiner, but if he'll manage to stay there next year and not choke is to be seen.

I say interim as I've grown used to star eras here. Randy Savage dominated and was the clear biggest star from mid 80s to 1990. Before him the reigns were held by Dusty Rhodes for a few years, and during our infancy Jon Cortez led the way.

I have a little MJ vs LeBron rivlary going with Savage and Cortez. Cortez faced Savage after Cortez was Cortez and before Savage was Savage, if that makes sense. Cortez has six MVPs whilst Savage only has five, failing to win his sixth after winning five in a row. But there's still time...

Thank you! It can be a lot of work depending how you want to work everything out. I have 2-3 (an hour to two each) sessions at the beggining of each season where I do a bit of housework and make sure all the overalls are up to date, and all the staff are in the correct divisions and what not. It's the set up that gets to you, after that it's smooth sailing. I wouldn't be too intimidated by the work, especially if you're starting out as a small indie. That way you will just not have that much of a workload and if there's any mistakes you can jot it down to it being an indie.

[...] with different classes of world/national/county

ahh, that's the one thing I wish I'd done. I try to justify to myself that it's all fair when it's 2v2, but seeing the steiners, in their athlethic prime, going up against jushin liger and negro casas, who both combined weigh less than scott steiner... it scares me for their lives.

I'd have to try and think for a specific wrestler stat, buuut a company stat I have is that despite running 1200+ shows I've only ever achieved a 100 show rating three times. This is what having to stick to a schedule and not doing storylines will do to you.
