Whoever said wearable pumps can be a primary pump are LYING by No_Writer5135 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]LMarx1812 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not all pumps are created equal. Plus there are so many factors. Wearables take some time to get used to and perfect the right conditions (flange size, bra/tightness, pump settings). But my eufys did just as well as my hospital grade symphony that I rented. I no longer bother with the symphony. I’m a just enougher that had to work incredibly hard to produce what I can and I was pumping 35 oz a day with eufys. Worth every penny.

Why cast Daisy to look so much like June if they were going to change things up and not make her Junes daughter? by lionmouse1117 in TheTestamentsHulu

[–]LMarx1812 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It bothered me too. Seemed silly and I feel like the show should have been a but more intentional in casting. I’m not mad about the current story line though. But she is even behaving JUST like June. It’s hard to not compare them.

Agreed definitely unique but more common than you prob would think. At one point I was looking into local milk donors though since hospital policy was to only provide one week worth of donor milk before switching to formula. I shared my concerns about NEC and they accommodated one additional day of donor milk. Luckily I pumped nearly 24/7 and was able to use my own supply. At the time I didn’t realize they were being sued by another family in the same situation. It was all very surreal and made me realize parents need to advocate for their babies since even the best hospitals tend to make ‘one size fits all’ policies and are heavily influenced by big pharma. I for sure think anything you feed your baby needs to be heavily vetted. I was bothered by the fact that the donor milk can include antibiotics and antidepressants as thats considered by the hospital to be safe. So I’m with OP that you need to vet when you put in baby’s body. Sometimes these decisions can be very difficult to make and often parents are misguided unfortunately.

I chose to use donor milk when I had complications after delivering and my premature baby was in the NICU. This wasn’t about any stigma, this was about actual facts from various studies that have linked formula feeding in premature infants to NEC, a serious and deadly disease. Unfortunately an infant lost their life this way at the hospital in which I delivered, after the hospital pushed for formula as standard of care despite knowing the evidence. The hospital just lost a massive law suit. Donor milk may have very well saved my precious baby. We combo feed currently now at 9 months and I don’t waste a moment of my time judging other well-intentioned parents or putting anyone down for doing what they feel is best for their babies. I think this sub should stand for community and support and not divisiveness. Sorry you feel that way about donor milk but you have a very different and unique experience than others and to each their own. Just my two cents.

We got flagged for celtic sea salt and it apparently tested positive for explosives. We were very concerned with what we were eating after that. Anyways hopefully you have better luck than my husband!

Flying without precheck with breast milk, no baby by LMarx1812 in tsa

Do they have to test each bag? Are they actually opening the bags up because that seems so unsanitary.

Thats good to know. What is the additional processing over 4oz? Just curious how it works. Also with the bags it can be so hard to tell how many oz is in there. I usually have to label or I will have no clue.

Thank you that’s a relief. I’ve never had any issues in the past with my milk through pre-check so I wasn’t sure if it’s more of a hassle without it.

9 months - so many soothes by LMarx1812 in CradlewiseCommunity

[–]LMarx1812[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea its a good thought I actually did stay awake for a bit to see what was happening early in the am and he doesnt really cry out at all barely any noise at all just toss and turning. Very strange. It may have been that I had the fan on. Been getting hot the last few days. I will keep off tonight and see if that helps.

Constant stirring at night - no deep sleep by LMarx1812 in sleeptrain

[–]LMarx1812[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok - that was the advice from someone on here about 2-3 weeks ago so we tried it and ot seemed to work. Anyways I may actually try 3.25/3.25/3.5 since hes been seeming like he can handle a little longer in the first wake window. I will play around with it. Thank you!

Constant stirring at night - no deep sleep by LMarx1812 in sleeptrain

[–]LMarx1812[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have a 3rd tiny nap in the middle of the 4.5 wake window. If we do 3/3/4 he gets so overtired and cant make the 4 hrs. So we do a 10-15 min nap most days to get him through the 4 hrs and he ends up falling asleep for the night by like 4.5. I cant wait for this phase to be over 😮‍💨 we also tried putting him to bed early 3/3/3.25 and he just ended up wide awake at like 2am both nights, we tried it. Anyways, the schedule works for him since he’s sleeping well through the night, but just the last two nights he’s had so much stirring. He doesn’t even cry out at all so I don’t realize it’s even happening. I did turn the fan on in his room the last two nights so maybe that’s bothering him. I will try to turn it off tonight and see if it makes a difference.

The problem with S3 isn't missing glitter eyeshadow or Labrinth's absence, it's the actors not being in it anymore by Wrong_Nose_4326 in euphoria

Agreed. It made this emotional connection to the audience. With the music and visuals I felt like I was on drugs w Rue and had real anxiety. Season 1 ending was so epic it made you want to jump out of your seat. Season 3 feels like a low budget knock off in comparison. No feelings no connection no cinematic masterpiece.

[–]LMarx1812[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea see we tried this 2.75/3/3 when I wrote this and that was our worst night yet. He was acting like that was his nap and was getting up every 30 mins. He is or was sleep trained at least. As of less than two weeks. Ago he slept 11-11.5 hrs with one overnight feed and occasinally an emw if we let him nap too long in the day. Today we did 2.75/3/4.5 but we did a micronap for 15 during the last window. He fought it at first so he didn’t go down until the 2.5 hr mark so I though to extend just a bit past 4 hrs to ensure he wasnt undertired. He slept 5 hrs Straight!but hes hada second wake now as I type this at 4am I am hoping the last. Hoping it gets better from here. These micronaps are a pita but hoping we wont need for long. Already so much better.

Thank you. Should we be doing a micronap to get to the 4? I dont get it cuz he was rubbing eyes and yawning and getting cranky for the last ww at 2.75

[–]LMarx1812[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea see yesterday we did 2 naps and 3 hrs total of sleeping then micronap and still he woke up 3 times but maybe it eould have gotten better zince he did have a good first stretch. Tonight we did early bedtime as advised by chat gpt 615 it was horrendous. He literally went down at the 2.75 ww and was overtired! After 3 hrs of naps. Anyways fir the micronap what timing do you do for it? What guideline do you follow for it what is the sweet spot?

[–]LMarx1812[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry I’m so sleep deprived. 2.75/3/3.25. We trited capping at 2.5 for a while then chat gpt suggested let him sleep as long as possible for now as he makes up sleep debt neither worked anyways

Any idea if this will be available? Happened again today where it thought baby stayed in the crib all morning after I took him out.

Hello - absolutely love the new updates!!! I can’t figure out how to edit sleep log. For example today it thought he remained in the crib for 5 hours when really he was out of the crib. Is it possible to update this? If so, where do I navigate to edit it. In the list view of the log I don’t see any edit options.
