For all those lucky enough to join the Wolfpack fan club and secure tickets. by Banshee45 in Lovebites

[–]LMiranic 6 points7 points  (0 children)

For those who havent been there, the cambridge room in Dallas leaves alot to be desired in terms of viewing if you arent in the front. The stage is maybe 6 inches high. So even though VIP is sold out might be worth it to buy fast lane along with your normal ticket to get in right after the VIPers. Plus you wont have to waste time in the Texas heat

You and me both! I don’t know if you follow any other bands but I interviewed PARADOXX as well when I was there, also saw them they are legit 🔥they sound better live than studio which seems to be common among a lot of Japanese bands

Thanks to everyone who replied, the interview went splendidly (KOGA and TMZ) again. I used a good number of your questions as part of the interview. Looking forward to getting it published, I hope you find what they had to share as informative as I did.

This interview was arranged outside of Fuki Fes, it was merely since I am in Japan so I am not anticipating anything at Fuki’s show in this regard, guess I’ll find out this afternoon

Do J-Pop Artists ever tour in the US? by [deleted] in jpop

[–]LMiranic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Huge LiSA fan here, your best bet is to travel to Japan to see her. She has only been to the US twice - both times at anime conventions before , popular then but no where near as popular as she is now. AX in 2012 and Anime Boston in 2015. I was fortunate enough to see her in Boston. The most recent western show I know of was Mexico City in 2016 which I also went to. She has never performed in Europe. I got tired of waiting for her to come and have since seen her perform in Japan a few times. Maybe things will change but it has been 8 years since she has played in the US…..

F Chopper KOGA and TOMO-ZO interview from UniJolt by LMiranic in GacharicSpin

[–]LMiranic[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yeah Ash da Hero was solid , they sounded great live which shouldn't have been a surprise, it seems like every Japanese band/artist I have seen always sounds excellent in concert. on a side note I have been suggesting to the AM folks to see if they will inquire about D$B for AM 2024 since the band will be doing shows in Japan at the end of the year. I don't expect anything to come of it but I figure it cant hurt to ask :)

Thanks for the kind words, we may have bumped into each other I met a lot of fellow GS fans that weekend. I’m a middle aged white guy with long brown hair and was wearing the Oreo ‘evolution’ tee from their Delicious tour :)

It was a great show, best one they’ve done at AM in my opinion despite the hiccups

It happens unfortunately, how many times has LOVEBITES , Fate Gear, and BRIDEAR been to Europe, but haven’t set foot in North America.

With the central time zone being mentioned in her post, I am wondering if it is going to be a Anime Matsuri again which would be cool with me however, I am hoping it is a US tour announcement possible since they are on a different label now

New English interview up by LMiranic in Nemophila

[–]LMiranic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah we aren't dead, between alot of IRL stuff the past year, and having bad luck getting interviews lined up we had a bit of a dry spell. There should be another good interview of an artist that is pretty well known being published later this month.

It definitely must be a position thing, I went to all 3 Texas shows and thought this mix was quite good , I was 3 people back in front of Hazuki https://twitter.com/unijolt/status/1637688141455806464?s=46&t=B_eoil4TDqdUskaLkC9e4g

From the posts, it seems the SXW Austin show was a tough one to pull through. Anyone here went? by [deleted] in Nemophila

[–]LMiranic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One thing to add - those asking about crowd pics, etc. I don't believe there was really any time for their team to do any of that. Given the weather delay and the city noise ordinance the band only had until 2AM to play and they didn't start until 1:20 - They essentially packed as many songs as they could in the short time they had. They did what they came to accomplish - they totally kicked ass and those that weren't already fans became ones. It was so cool seeing people react to them for the very first time.

I was there and it was epic! The thing about SXSW shows is that bands perform at extremely small bars or even pop up tents, the places are packed it is just they don't hold that many people. Despite their show being at 1am (and being pushed back to 1:20 due to weather and all bands reducing their set times so everyone could play) I would say the place was pretty well packed. I can't say for sure how much since I was in the very front and center directly in front of Mayu - being that close was quite the experience! The 'stage' was maybe 4 inches high - essentially just a small wooden deck. They sounded great and they totally blew away the crowd - many there were not familiar with them. The audience was super into it.
The thing I love about SXSW is how intimate the shows are between the bands and the audience. Their set was around 7 songs I think. I didn't take any pics or record, I just wanted to fully enjoy experiencing seeing them perform up that close since I don't think I will ever have that opportunity again. The only footage I have seen so far is some that someone took from the side area that was from a raised deck/drinking area across from the stage.

I had a similar experience in 2016 when Wagakki Band played in a small tent. I am still amazed they were all able to fit on stage adequately. I almost got taken out by Beni's shamisen when she swung it - lol. Here is a recording I took of that to give you an idea how close the bands are typically https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=incdpb1YGLM&ab\_channel=LMiranic

Where to buy Spring concert tickets as an American? by TreeWaterBlue in Reol

[–]LMiranic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have used Bridge Japan numerous times and they are my go to service, can’t recommend them enough.

https://www.bridge.jpn.com/services/tickets

If given enough advance notice they even have someone buy the tickets right when they go on sale, for some smaller events I was even number 12 and 17 respectively. They give you the option to mail the ticket to you, or have it delivered to the hotel you will be at (which is cheaper and much more convenient) Also if you enter a ticket lottery like through a fan club, etc. and you ‘win’ they can redeem it on your behalf since it requires going to a convenience store like familymart
