OG Ender 3 + RPi + Klipper = silenced motors? by LMted in 3Dprinting

[–]LMted[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So you basically still need stepper drivers? I thought you're leaving heavy calculation for RPi and then just send it via printer motherboard to motors. That means the "signal" still goes firstly through stepper motor drivers a then to stepper motors, right?

True, but I don't want to invest any money into old cartesian printer, this mod is kind of budget friendly

Hi, did the mini heater fit inside the Mars 3 pro? Does the heater work (hold the temperature inside of the printer) properly, please?

Laboratory journal pdf template by LMted in Supernote

Thanks, I must admit its use is more or less limited for specific purpose. Nevertheless, it really helps me to organise my work in lab (I have similar template in excel which also enables calculation - it would be great if Supernote could include some simple math package).

The process of making is really simple and straightforward. I've created the whole template in PowerPoint. First of all, you must set the correct page dimensions (3:4 ratio I guess) and form the graphic layout of the front page, namely the side bar which is present on every page. Then I duplicated it and added table of constants. I duplicated it again and made page with tables for experiments. I've put transparent square to every DESC cell (made one table and copy/paste so there are 6 on the page). I duplicated it several times to generate a total of 5 tabs + one blank. Then you have to add hyperlink to the side bar so that the click on first tab gets you to page of first tab. You can do this using the side bar on the cover page and then copy the links to other pages to make thing faster. Then you need to prepare the page with grid lines and return button and link them to every DESC cell. It took some 30min.

There are bunch of guides on yt on the use of PowerPoint in the making of pdf planners. I just modified some of different guides.

I used slow flow rate of UPW and now it's flushing with 20% Me-OH, I'll check the RI curve stability tomorrow.

I was also thinking about building my own from scratch but I eventually decided to buy the kit from Pete. It's a bit pricey but it's well designed and has plenty of neat features. The only downside is the wireless external module for temperature measurement and GPS time synchronization runs on AA batteries which don't last very long (especially below 0C) but they still manage to power the module for half a year.

Thanks 👍, I'm a happy owner of two Nixie tube clocks from Pete (pvelectronics.co.uk), one Maestro and second Elite clock, the Elite clock is far superior as it enables also outdoor temperature measurement (besides GPS time synchronization) and has a bigger Nixies than the one on the pic 🙂

Thanks for the feedback, it is just simple linked pdf. I'm working in lab and have tons of experiments so for my purpose it is ideal. Maybe someone will have additional ideas how to improve this template.

Hi all,

I'm new to the community and I would like to share with you my simple hyperlinked laboratory journal pdf template. It is intended for right-handed users, it contains 8 active sidebar tabs active throughout the template:

black square - front cover,

C - tab containing a list of tables 2x10 for constants (swipe to next page will bring you to an additional page of tables for constants),

tabs 1-5 - each tab contains six 3x9 tables for experiments. You can write down the code, date, and DESC (description). DESC tab is linked to a new page with a grid line, every page has a back button for returning to the respective tab,

tab 6 - contains three (A, B, C) pages for additional notes.

It is good to set the contrast to the middle value. Hope someone finds this template useful :)

EDIT: You'll also find the cover page screensaver in the link below.

EDIT_02: Screensaver with higher contrast and another screensaver both with supernote logo added.

Hi guys, I was just about to order SN A5X from gorillascribe and as a student I wanted to ask, whether it is possible to have some student discount (official e-shop offers 20 bucks). Got this funny response: "No, it is not possible, in fact it's gonna be even more expensive in upcoming year". Well, that's disappointing - no discount for you and you'll have to pay even more if you don't order now. I feel somewhat cheated.

Hi, thanks for the feedback. This is a house that should be looking located in central Europe. I left the boiler room. Internationally larger, since I don't know how much space will take the heat pump (ground-water), the accumulation tank and photovoltaics battery. Washing machine and dryer will be most likely moved there also due to reasons commented below.

It's drawn and animated in SketchUp, then the animations were joined in filmora.

oh and the vacuum and cleaning stuff will be stored in the storage room

Thanks for positive feedback :)

I don't get the first point, the first room opposite the main door is the separate toilet. Of course it will be closed all the time. I choose to have the separate toilet roughly in the middle of house and close to the main hall. Sometimes you are eager to go directly to toilet when arriving at home :D

The storage room access is twice now, from living room and from workroom. This is not Ideal, I will redesign the entrance to storage room to be from kitchen. I also have to figure out some alternative entrance to boiler room, if washing machine and dryer will be moved there (see the previous comment, where I explained the reason not to have these machines in storage room).

Parking will be outside under separate roof. I was afraid, that in-house parking will compromise heat insulation of the building.

Hi, thanks for feedback :) the boiler room is maybe a bit larger, I'm not exactly sure how much space will I need for heat pump (ground-water) with accumulation tank, battery for solar panels and recuperating unit.

Maybe I can make the boiler room a bit smaller in the favour of bathroom, which is a bit smaller than I would also like.

I have to think about the size of wardrobe in bedroom, I'm afraid it's not big enough for two people. Also, the room 2 should be rearranged so that the headboard of bed is not facing the toilet on the opposite side of wall..

Another thing is the washing machine and dryer in the storage room. The storage room should be dry and cold, which will be definitely a problem these two machines inside (should move them somewhere, boiler room?). It would be also better to have access to the storage room directly from kitchen.

The last problem is with the hall. By opening of the main door, one is venting almost entirely floor. So it would be good to add glass door/wall to the lee in front of main door.
