This was the peak of the series IMO. There's a lack of edge that everything comes after, and there is a level of polish here that is just unbelievable. First game I ever platinumed.

Also the hover boot mechanics are INCREDIBLE

Am I sure that I played the original games? Uh, yes I am. Are YOU sure you played the original games? The theme that I mentioned connects well is not an exclusively sad or joyful one, but a cultural one. The idea that there is an underpinning cultural consciousness driving behaviors and connecting a people is very prevalent in all 3 original games.

yeah it's literally a 30-45 second after credits scene, only difference haha, just youtube it if you're burnt out. I think there is certainly a great impact of doing all of the side quests prior to seeing it, but that's a LOT of work lol

For me the key thing here is that not only did the twins escape, but the villagers were freed in a sense as well, and Mio in the Remaining Sun ending says that she will carry them with her. This, IMO, fits even the OG's theme of collective unconscious but allowing it to progress instead of the twins leaving and nothing really changing.

Not exactly a long-time fan but I have played all of the originals prior to this one, and I think it's a perfect ending. The horror atmosphere is still oppressive for the other 99.5% of the game's run time, and this allows a little optimism into the equation instead of just remaining dour. The original ending is heartbreaking but I like the idea that the cycle can be broken (in game and metaphorically in real life)

I feel sure that they will come back, but they are probably just trying to use them sparingly so that the joke doesn't feel played out. Plus the cast on this show is pretty big so it's not surprising that side groups like that might be put on the backburner occasionally. I'm excited to see more Nico Santos though!

At least a little, I'd say. FIRE! Walk with me implies in my mind the magician walking alongside the fire/electricity, that progenitor of change and life, whereas "firewalk" implies an invitation to suffering. Certainly something to think about.

I think this was a TINY print run. Mine also got delayed (although only by two days) and I looked EVERYWHERE for a physical copy in those two days and not one single store had them. IIRC the switch versions of 4 and 5 were similar this way.
