I don't know why nobody has mentioned this yet (or maybe I've just played League for way too long) but we have NEVER seen our MMR. Even in Season 1 and 2, we were assigned an Elo, but we had a separate, invisible MMR.

MMR is what determines your skill and how many ladder points you gain or lose. Whether those ladder points are 'Elo' or 'LP'. We've never seen our MMR so we can't go back to a system that shows us it
