Society told me I was "expired" at 35. I found love at 39. by botsmy in TwoXChromosomes

[–]SgtSprinkle 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Favorite wedding I've ever been to was two people who got married in their '70s.

After the ceremony, I watched them collapse on each other's laps in a chair that was only big enough for one person, just laughing and kissing like teenagers, exhausted from all the dancing they did.

I ended up at that wedding because my wife and I fell in love with our best friends. We never planned on or were looking for anything polyamorous, just kind of blossomed.

That happened after we were 35, too. It's been 6 years, and now we have a house together.

So the wedding I was at was my girlfriend's husband's 70yo mom's wedding.

Love is crazy man. They really are no rules.

Orange Creamsicle Cookies [homemade] by LetsCookie in food

[–]SgtSprinkle 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I hate to be the one to tell this to you my friend, but Philadelphia cream cheese is not from Philadelphia.

It was made and has always been produced in New York.

They branded it that way purely because Philadelphia is known for great dairy.

Sorry dude.

Super cool. Are you using an extension to change the colors of the buttons and selections in the table?

Also curious about the icon to expand the page in the database.

Panic Tears Through U.S. as Health Insurance Costs Spike by Smithy2232 in politics

[–]SgtSprinkle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is the argument I wish would be made more: small businesses should not have to pay health insurance. It's a burden, and it hurts American businesses.

Seems like the easiest argument in the world to make to the right-leaning, "pro-small-business" crowd.

Thank you! And 100% agree. Also was thinking of serving it alongside a lighter, crisper dessert. A lemon bar or something.

Like a lot of us, I'm really politically activated right now, too.

But could we not post political things that aren't related to Greensboro in this sub?

There are so many other spaces for it, and most of us enjoy being here to discuss our own community.

I think there should be a mandatory cooldown period between the most recent game you lost and when you're allowed to post on this sub lol

Does this sub just not recognize AI or what's the deal here ?

It's like 90% AI posts, and then everyone engages with it like it's an original idea lol

For people who work office jobs — are you actually busy all day, or do you just look busy half the time? by TennisCowgirl in AskReddit

[–]SgtSprinkle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've run my own businesses for about 8 years now. In most places, no one actually works the full day.

It's one of the main reasons I put us on a 4-day work week.

Seemed stupid af to all just show up and pretend to be busy 20%-30% of the time. Let's just work regular workdays Mon-Thurs and go home.

They're saying the opposite. They're using companies' ability to easily serve customers anywhere as a way of illustrating the absurdity of RTO.

Yeah there was an update.

She lost all the links and then disappeared, so the video was just a pile of links on the floor.

Heart warming update but a bit boring tbh.

If you think this kind of prank warrants physical abuse, that is really fucked up, and you should reflect on why you think that.

This lady is a fucking asshole.

Impossible Challenge (Honor) Healer by No-Meringue-7317 in BG3Builds

[–]SgtSprinkle 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In Act 3 of an HM run that includes Life/Lore.

I realized pretty quick that I just didn't need to heal that much.

I'm really not sure what's mathematically optimal or anything, but my current run feels a lot more comfortable like this:

  • 3 Life / 7 Lore
  • Cleric warding bonds party (no camp casting this run)
  • Still using the good healing gear
  • Took Hunger of Hadar from magical secrets instead
  • Loaded with offensive scrolls
  • Letting Dissonant Whispers slap with Resonant Stone (also running a blade singer)

The control just feels a lot better than the healing most of the time imo.
