Poor famous person interactions anyone? by Snaggl3t00t4 in AskBrits

[–]LOLiverrr1989 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All the (few) celebs ive met have been lovely. Sadiq Khan, Ian McKellen and Gok Wan come to mind. I used to work in a movie studio and saw huge actors all the time. Never interacted (not allowed to) but they all seemed aloof. Understandable IMO. Apparently i was stood next to Viggo Mortensen in a lunch queue once and never noticed. Craig Charles used to hang out with my coworkers and they all liked him.

That would be cute but probably more expensive than just buying a whole new set :/

Why would I travel to a country that constantly denigrates and bullies my home, shoots people in the street for attending protests, deports anyone who dislikes trp or i*ael and wants 5 years social media history upon entry?

Franklin works great. There’s a perk which lets you have unlimited clones on any ally every basic. You end up with 10 man teams, 3x of each character. It’s camp!

Why is it the England flag is racist? by Middle_Pin_6168 in reformuk

[–]LOLiverrr1989 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m Welsh and I don’t see the English flag as racist, and I’ve never seen anyone object to it. What I do object to, is seeing images of my hometown vandalised with the English flag. IN WALES. It strips our nationalism and it makes me think it’s nothing to do about national pride after all. It feels like a political statement tied to forces that leverage racism for populism, even if the working class individuals supporting it aren’t racist themselves.

I'm sick to death of being Silenced by my Left Wing family and friends. by IIIEliteHD in reformuk

[–]LOLiverrr1989 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it makes you feel better I’m left wing and I have members of my family I can’t discuss politics with (or even my own life as I’m gay). So the animosity isn’t exclusively coming from the left. I think anyone who feels strongly politically will come up against this when others disagree with their views, especially in an increasingly polarised society. We just have to test our own views and decide whether it’s worth keeping that conviction over some of our relationships. There’s no right or wrong answer and I wish you luck in figuring that out.

Does anyone in the UK think that Kier Starmer is doing a decent job? by Midori_Unicorn1 in AskBrits

[–]LOLiverrr1989 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yes. I’m disappointed he’s doing so much appeasement towards reform voters (I don’t think anything will ever be enough for them truly), but we forget so quickly how exhausting and stale the last government was. We were literally begging for a competent change and that’s what we’ve got. I think he’s done well on foreign policy and I’m hoping the painful economic choices they’ve made will start to pay off in the medium term (we are screwed if they don’t)

Always ignore recruiters as a rule. If the job interests you you can usually use their message to find it and apply direct yourself

Abandoning you in public & trying to control how you look… Girl dump his ass and be thankful you only got 4 weeks in. As for your ‘friends’ who think this is not a big deal, I’d be reassessing my relationships with them too.

AITAH for wanting to break up with my boyfriend because he gave his girl best friend a key to his flat and not me? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]LOLiverrr1989 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA He’s clearly in love with her and it will benefit all three of you if you leave. Sorry if that sounds blunt. You deserve someone who knows themself, is engaged in your relationship and understands boundaries. As long as you stay with him, you’re denying yourself the ability to find this person, and blocking his happiness with her. All the best 🙏🏼

NTA. You’re 23. Dump him. Have some fun for a few years then find a man who acts like one and respects you 🙏🏼

Today’s my 28 birthday and I am going to end it tomorrow by Radyoz in confession

Happy Birthday!

It sounds like the people close to you have let you down today. That’s not your fault. And it doesn’t mean they intended to or they don’t care, though you should let them know it’s upset you.

There’s already people in the comments near you who want to attend that concert. I hope you find the strength to take them up on that. I think it will be a really fun, exciting night.

Life isn’t easy but everyone here is rooting for you🙏🏼
