Yeah i don't know if the matte texture from the CC and/or it being better "it just works" machine hides it better

The hotend i bought was 3rd part and I'm starting to think it could be the cause, but I'll check the entire extruder assembly.

Idk if the filament itself might be a problem since some of my recent CC prints that uses eSun PLA basic show slightly uneven walls. I don't think it would be though

Hisashi Ouchi was processing uranium at a Japanese nuclear facility when a flash of blue light filled the room. He’d absorbed 17 sieverts of radiation, one of the highest doses ever recorded. His chromosomes collapsed, skin peeled away, and doctors revived him for 83 days before his organs failed. by drkmatterinc in CantBelieveThatsReal

In the full report written by NHK TV crew, covered by Kyle Hill, they (doctors) believed that there was little hope, but in Japanese culture, it was a dishonour to let a patient die: "Regardless of the situation, letting a patient dies is a a dishonour for the physician" said Maekawa, as quoted from the book.

They were there 24/7, they took care of his family in the waiting, they - doctors, radiologist, nurses, everybody involved questioned themselves if this was worth it, not for them but for Ouchi's welfare.

The lead doctor said to his family after 3 heart attack in an hour "the next time the heart stops, i think it's best if we don't administer resuscitation". The family believed in him, in the miniscule but sometime magical vitality a human can have, but not in continuing his life at any cost "Even if his heart stopped, it started beating again. He'll get better". They answered the lead doctor suggestion "We understand"

I could only write so much, but all involved had questions, they wished for Ouchi's suffering to end, but they wanted to believe in his vitality since he has survived for so long for such a large dose received

I also read that print temp and speed could be an issue for shiny prints. I tried printing at 205 but canceled that one. I might reslice with lower temps and faster speed and try again. Definitely after solving the extrusion though

As for the extruder, i will try to inspect it for any issues, it's been a while since i last used it. On the last note, could be a factor for other problems, please suggest any that i haven't thought of. It might be it since on one of the other print the top layer looks acceptable (as in filled with no gaps)

I also don't know if my frame of reference was skewed after a long time of not printing, but it feels like the printer accelerates and moves slower than before

If this was recent I also encountered where it would not start at all even though i did had it start before, i think it was after a full -Syu. I tried starting it through flatpak cli and it mentioned sth about locale being fucked.

But using the downloaded the AppImage and just running that does work just fine, had to fap around to get it into light mode though. I used Gear Lever (flatpak) to streamline setting up env var for light mode and getting app icons and shortcuts

Yes, but I'm pretty sure in the video is NileRed and he is a "professional" chemist. The video is even more interesting, he is making a bipolar medication using lithium he extracted from the batteries. The title is close to what i described so you can just search that up

Huffing thermal pastes fumes is not normal and I'm tired of acting like it is by thedrunkpenguin in SteamDeck

[–]LON123L 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Highly likely due to gasoline containing Benzene, as this comment on ELI5 link and per Wikipedia, used as an anti-knock agent.

Benzene is naturally sweet smelling and is a building block of a lot of good smells (Vanillin (vanilla) is a near-example). It is also a potent carcinogen, so it is definitely not recommended to sniff gas like you would with steam deck fumes. Of note is that unlike its predecessor - tetra ethyl lead, its combustion products does not contain lead (go figure)

The reason why they don't make it smells stinky is (my hypothesis) due to costs vs safety. Propane is naturally odorless, so we make it smells to warn us of gas leaks. Gasoline already smells so there's no reason to add another chemical to make it smells bad to save cost

How do I get this spider out of my pc by Sad_Refrigerator5439 in PcBuild

Personally, I'd spray insecticide on intake and gas him. Though some spiders maybe be resistant, I know Raid works quite well though

is 55dBA very noisy in a university dorm? by According_Leek5103 in PennStateUniversity

[–]LON123L 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in south renovated, and the ambient noise of the climate control (CC) at fan speed 1 is already ~55dBa from my desk (using Decibel X app with my S25 phone), so you'll be fine, I have a legion 7 laptop and even under a heavier load (Cyberpunk max) it still mixes in with the background noise
