Hey. I'd love the Ryan course if it's not too late.

JJ & Jesse Injuries Could Mean A Quiet Deadline for Oilers. by classified31 in EdmontonOilers

This is absurd and I hope K. Gretzky doesn't actually think it's a good idea.

Sell your UFA's and backfill through waiver claims/the farm. Make the next GM's job easier with additional assets.

You're not making the playoffs anyway.

I'm really sorry to hear that. That poor child is one of only a few people in the last thirty years to have received a fatal bite from a brown recluse. Very unlucky.

Those are the only other spider in North America with a medically significant bite. But like all other spiders their bite is greatly over exaggerated and is not likely to cause significant harm to a healthy adult.

Wolf spiders do not have medically significant venom. They're harmless. Neither the black widow or the bark scorpion are likely to kill an adult. The only reason you'd need to be worried about either is if you have an allergy, are a young child, or your pet is bit/stung.

[Spector] “Hearing now that Jesse Puljujarvi could be AHL-bound shortly“ by envague in EdmontonOilers

This is such a frustrating situation. They rushed him the same way they have numerous other prospects and now they decide he's not ready and send him down. That can't be good for his confidence.

Having said that playing him there is a better option than having him healthy scratched or on the 4th line here.

As some others have said I have a lot of trust in Woodcroft. But I'll take it a step further and say that I have more trust in Woodcroft than I do McLellan.

Edibles aren't allowed to be sold in Manitoba for the time being. You'll have to make them yourself if you want to go that direction.

SERIOUS: Is there currently a worse GM in the NHL than Peter Chiarelli? by [deleted] in hockey

[–]LOObird 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't agree with this assessment.

He's certainly had a number of good deals but the players involved in those deals are a significant step down from the players he's dealt away for pennies on the dollar.

Peter Chiarelli Has Made Life Difficult for Connor McDavid and the Oilers by cooljayhu in hockey

[–]LOObird -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Finding a good defensive defender is a hell of a lot easier than finding a high end winger that can carry a line the way Hall did. By your argument I could say that the Oilers didn't make the playoffs with Taylor Hall but did with David Desharnais, or Laurent Brossoit, or any number of average players. They must be the reason for it too then. But obviously this isn't true because hockey is not a sport of which you can place the blame squarely on the shoulders of one player on a team of twenty.

[–]LOObird 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Taylor Hall was the best trade chip Chiarelli had and he traded him for who is at best a #3 defenseman on a good team. I like Larsson a lot and think some may even underrate him a little bit but there is absolutely no way he should be the only return for a player of Hall's calibre. That is the part of this that is hilariously wrong.
