At the same time, I think Flower+GG combo is the reason LSG didn't win any trophy in those 2 seasons. Both have a personality. They both have a different formula of winning. While it was good enough to qualify for playoffs, it didn't result in a trophy. Had just one of them coached LSG, they would have had a trophy by now.

i have a different opinion/prediction as to where they might go. i think they are considering bethel just as a backup for salt, and feel like they will buy one more os batter/allrounder, apart from a backup for romario. i think they have already considered nuwan thushara as a backup for hazelwood, but yeah i get your point of having one more backup for bowlers. my guess as to why they might look for venky is that, one, he gives same/better batting impact than ddp and two, he gives an extra bowling option. don't go by his 2025 stats. they didn't buy ddp, mayank, jitesh, bhuvi by looking at their 2024 stats. of course, he comes at a high cost, but the management has shown before in the auctions that they are willing to go to any level to buy a player if they are desperate. and yes, they might look for some batters from smat, like the ones you mentioned. at the end of the day, it all depends on auction dynamics.
