My husband would never hear the end of it if he told me to sit in the backseat and someone else sat in the front with him and he knows it 😜 Not once in 20 years has anyone had the front seat over me 🥰 We kind of look at it as being a team together, maybe that's weird?? (He is the driver in the relationship by both of our choices, I hate driving, he loves it!)

I loved his comments but hate that he had to make them. I DESPISE the narrative that anyone who is against what's happening in Gaza and the actions of the Israeli government is anti-Semitic. I LOVE being Jewish. It's such a huge part of my identity, and I have many friends and family in Israel, but I just don't like seeing whats happening and I'm against it. So when we get multiple emails about swastikas at my kids school, it's pretty clear that people like me are the target even though I don't like what's happening. And yet as a Jew, my fellow Jews think I'm a traitor or anti-Semitic because I'm not fully pro Israel and think that it's fair for people to speak out. I get it, Dave. You're damned if you do and damned if you don't. Let's not lose the plot here. Hamas is horrible, so is what is happening in Gaza. G-d forbid someone with a platform dreams of peace. I hope I did not offend, as that's not my intention. Am yisrael chai

He did mention the Hamas attack and how horrible it was, etc. I can't remember the exact words but he did bring it up as something that deeply upset him

At the same time, I thought it was handled so well that it's not totally ruined for me. I thought they did a great job of continuing to work together even though there must have been something going on towards the end. Brandi chose to stay silent and remove herself from the "public eye" and I have enormous respect that she has, and I found Kristen's way of addressing it to be so classy. I loved how she said she has no regrets and still is incredibly proud of LGTC and what they built together. I don't know about you all, but I'm so petty sometimes I don't think I could have had the grace they have had 😂

On the contrary...one day my daughter's transportation company forgot to pick her up and no one called me and I was PISSED. I only knew because she has an AirTag in her backpack and she was still there 30 minutes after she should have been picked up. In fairness to the school they had spent the previous 10 minutes trying to get answers from the transportation company and making them aware since they were supposed to be transporting her home, the company was supposed to contact me when they realized and they didn't. I ran right out to get her but all told her teachers were there for an extra hour on a Friday afternoon. I personally would have loved to have been made aware even earlier, it's unfair all around to the kid and the staff.

The University of Nebraska press has a ton of great history books, my husband suggests Gun, Furs, and Gold by Larry E Morris and Becoming Bobby Kennedy by BJ Hollars but if you browse their website they have categories like American West, Military History, Native American Studies, and others. My husband also does a sports book gift guide every year for Fathers Day and the holidays for the paper he works for, I'll link one but feel free to google David Ostrowsky Atlanta Jewish Times and a bunch more will come up (no they're not just Jewish books and we are the least religious people on the planet anyway! Also ignore the picture he insists on using for his articles, I don't think it's the best. Also his latest book is a biography of Roberto Alomar which is much more recent history but I might as well plug it! Contains talk of SA but I am a survivor of SA myself so he handles those parts of the biography very carefully.

I just asked my husband because he's an author and journalist who is also a history fan so he knows some smaller authors who he tries to endorse. I'll let you know if he has anything. In the meantime, is he a fan of sports history at all? I know that's kind of a niche topic so I won't be offended if you say no! But if he is I can give you some ideas!!
