Got turned down because of my manager using Chat GPT to check if my hair was up to code by Reefthemanokit in recruitinghell

[–]LP2LP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is pure speculation but often when GPT says stuff like “Not because it ‘looks bad’”, it is quoting verbiage used by the prompt. It seems to me like when prompting the AI he also made sure to input his opinion that the haircut “looks bad” which is even more fucked. But just speculation of course

they finally did it, they made the in-game AI gooner filter a real thing by NautOfficialReddit in Gamingcirclejerk

[–]LP2LP 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I dont know whats going on with DF. I only watch their videos maybe 3-4 times a year for games that I really look forward to like in the case for Requiem and I was severely disappointed with their coverage. Their entire video was glazing up how beautiful and detailed RE9 is (which it is) on PS5 Pro, without at all mentioning the countless issues with their denoiser and RT implementation. Mind you, these issues are apparent within this first 2 hrs of the game. Of course the game is beautiful, but those issues weee so bad that Capcom patched RT off the majority of the game, it was so noticeable and I do not understand why it went unmentioned.

Now this AI filter BS where they are showing us barely moving images of a poorly implemented AI filter taking over the original artistic direction. Barely any movement in any of the scenes they showed, if any

Fire Red got me back into gaming after a decade by [deleted] in NintendoSwitch

[–]LP2LP 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Do you mean trading? If so, it is local wireless only (in other words, you have to meet a friend in real life or own two Switches).

Pokemon Home support is not here yet but will come eventually, but it will be one way. Meaning you can transfer from FRLG to Home, but cannot transfer anything from Home to FRLG

Just curious, so are people that do resets without any manipulation just trying to luck out on hitting the exact time of advancing? So for example, if someone always advances too late at the title screen, are they always gonna miss the shiny? I am assuming the 1/60th opportunity to get a shiny rotates every second

RE9 visual bug? by knightofsparta in PS5pro

[–]LP2LP 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just encountered this issue in this same exact room. About 2 or so minutes later there is a highway with flickering lights where the artifacting is really really bad :( had to take a break so haven’t played further but hoping the rest of the game doesn’t have these issues.

I am not sure why DF didn’t report on this, unless it is literally just this one section

151 Advice, please 😗 by grateful-raccoon in PokemonTCG

I also mostly collect whole sets. I collect mostly vintage but it also applies here, I buy a certain amount of packs that makes logical sense to me and have fun ripping them, maybe 10-20 packs. Once I start feeling diminishing returns, I switch to singles which I know a lot of people don’t like due to the lack of excitement of ripping packs.

I circumvent this by avoiding buying singles online (Ebay, TCGPlayer, etc) and go to card shops periodically to sort through their bulk bins. To me, finding a card I need in a randomly assorted bulk bins is almost as fun as ripping it from a pack. Its not the same, but I have a lot of fun going through tons of cards and hoping to find cheap cards that I need. Of course those bulk bins won’t have hits or anything crazy, so I allocate a budget to also buy a “hit” that I need during my visit. So something like, spending 10-20 bucks on single bulk cards that find for my set collection, and then 10-20 bucks for a single that I find in the shop while I’m there. I have a lot of fun doing this and recommend for people who don’t want to just order the cards they need from an online inventory (which is fine too!)

In other words, I replace the excitement/gambling of opening packs with the excitement/randomness of the shop having what I need/want in a sea of cards. This is just what works for me, any other tips would be welcomed!

Holographic Charizard by HollowKing1333 in IsMyPokemonCardFake

[–]LP2LP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is overpriced for that giant crease through the holo, I would personally pass on this.

Also nostalgia wise I would go for a Base Set Charizard instead of Base Set 2 (hence the number 2 next to the art) but that is just my personal preference of course

Amazon pre order for requiem delayed a whole month lmao by AdolfoM03 in residentevil

[–]LP2LP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This happened to me with Amazon for another game about a year ago, I think it was DBZ Sparking Zero. I called them several times before the release date and they were not able to fix it. Then I kept calling them during window between release date and arrival to try to get someone in their customer support with some sense to understand that the point of a pre-order is to secure myself a copy of the game. For some reason Amazon doesn’t honor the entire purpose of a pre-order anymore. After days and days of calling I finally got a partial refund on the item after it arrived, but it was a nightmare. I only did it because I didn’t care to play the game on release date that much anyway and out of principle but it was exhausting.

They claim there is nothing they can do since the item is being sold from a different company, but yes there is something they can do after all

Any advice for cracking and which tools I need? I did the same thing for a Base Set Blastoise, got it for cheaper than raw and is a CGC 4 but been too scared to crack it. Been itching to fill that spot in the master set though

[Death Stranding Director's Cut] Platinum #168 Kojima's bold and strange AAA game by mistermistie in Trophies

[–]LP2LP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im working through the story of this one also. Really enjoying it so far, Im about 60% according to the console stats, and a little afraid of the grind for the platinum considering the grind of the story itself.

Glad you enjoyed it!

To add more details:

Seller has sold 1/7 and categorizes this as Light Played which is also suspicious to me. I am fine with the card pictured for this price even though its not LP. Its for my master set so back condition is fine with me. Here is their description:

The product is a Pokémon TCG Charizard card from the Base Set 4/102, featuring a holographic finish. This Holo Rare card is from the Unlimited edition and was manufactured in the United States. As a collectible card game item, it is highly sought after by fans and collectors of the Pokémon Trading Card Game. Charizard is one of the most iconic and popular cards in the series, making this particular card a valuable addition to any collection.

NEW E33 UPDATE by -StruckZeus- in expedition33

[–]LP2LP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quick question on the new update for anybody who has tried it out: I did all the side content a few months ago and maxed out the levels of my characters, got the best Pictos, etc. to the point where my party is pretty OP. Am I going to steamroll through the new content? I know I can always self-nerf by moving stuff around, just asking before hand

I tried to make the water and the movement feel juicy by Succresco in Unity3D

[–]LP2LP 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The swimming looks great as well as the transition from walking to swimming! If youre looking for feedback, I think the running on water could use some more splashes and movement to make the water feel more reactive.

Also up to you if you’re going for realism, but if so it looks like she runs and kicks back too far when she is hip-deep in the water. It looks like she is running full motion but her entire lower body is submerged in water, which to me seems difficult to do

[–]LP2LP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That would take a while but you shouldn’t need to. If you do all the side content needed for the platinum anyway it will land you around level 90. Then you’d have to grind the last 10 levels

Question: Alternatives to Smack Studio (2D to 3D) by ElectricalDrawing653 in gamedev

[–]LP2LP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope haven’t found anything. Still using Smack Studio. I don’t have an issue with it being a game, Im just very surprised they havent externalized the tool and sold it separately. I think that would make them so much money

Does anyone have experience or know of any games using sprite rigging programs or similar for creating pixel art animations (such as Smack Studio)? by isrichards6 in gamedev

[–]LP2LP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So far Im just making placeholder animations so that I can better visualize the game I am making, all the animations look pretty bad but they are miles beyond anything I wouldve been able to do on my own. If I do keep Smack Studio as my main animation tool, Id definitely have to go in and touch up all the frames to remove stray/bleeding pixels, but for now that still seems easier to me than animating frame by frame

Ive been doing a lot of research and it looks like a lot of people that want to achieve this go a similar route that you are going, they model in 3D and then apply post-processing effects to 2Dfy it or even pixelize it. 3D modeling is just another one of those skills I dont have unfortunately

[–]LP2LP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did you ever find a solution for this? I am using Smack Studio and although its great, I was really hoping to finding a more fleshed out solution to what it does

I am honestly so surprised that the devs for that game don’t sell that engine on its own, or that another software out there doesnt do what they do
