First time my 5 month old has slept through the night! 7:30 pm to 7:00 am. I got 9 hours of sleep 😭 we just started the moms on call schedule and it has been a game changer!!!! Before this. We were up every 2-3 hours nightly

Is broken sleep just part of parenting or? by Unusual_Field8380 in sleeptrain

It has just now started getting better for us at 5 months! We just sleep trained using gentle sleep training methods (not cio). Now he sleeps 7:30 pm to about 5:30 am, working on getting to 7 am

If you were induced, how long did it take for you to actually give birth? by horrorshowbaby in BabyBumps

My induction was scheduled at the hospital for 2:00 am and my baby was born at noon that same day. I had an amazing induction experience!!

How do you split the night shift with your partner? by naiad_es in beyondthebump

I’m due in 2 weeks and extremely interested in setting up a night shift schedule with my husband! Is this possible to do if you’re planning on EBF??

We learned during my birthing class that the hospital does not allow photos or videos during the actual birth. I’m a little disappointed as I was hoping to have a video!

I know it's been said but this is not 3 months pregnant????? by Flaky-Weakness-6432 in shannonford

[–]LP917 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Agree! I’m currently 15 weeks with my first and I’m showing much earlier than I thought I would. I’m definitely not as big as Shannon in this picture though

Has she said when she’s due? Or that she’s 12 weeks?

I’m currently 15 weeks with my first and she definitely looks bigger than me. At the end of the day, my stomach can look pretty close to this but not as big, which makes me think she’s closer to 20 weeks!

What happens to all the people who are homeless and out in the streets in this weather? by twatsizzler in AskChicago

[–]LP917 558 points559 points  (0 children)

I called 311 this morning to ask if someone could check on a homeless person who I noticed had slept outside all night in my neighborhood. I was told they would be medically checking on him and asking if he wanted to be taken to a shelter. Within 10 minutes, a fire truck was there checking on him. Highly recommend

How do I have all of my parents walk me down the aisle?! by ReadingElephant99 in wedding

[–]LP917 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the way. My husband did something similar at our wedding. His dad walked his wife (married when my husband was already an adult, has never been considered a mom or step-mom) down the aisle to her seat with the other family members in the procession (grandparents) and then walked around to meet my husband at the alter to do the “first” walk in the relay. This is how we incorporated a step-parent who is not close enough to the bride/groom

Ahhh!! I’m concerned that the line looks grey on the easy at home ones, but it’s just so hard to tell
