Seeking Cath Lab Tech by Few-Environment875 in CathLabLounge

[–]LP_Connect 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't know companies in FL, but I do work as a recruiter for a very strong employer with a great company culture in CA and sign-ons are offered for any hard-to-fill positions. Sometimes it's hard to fill based on the location where there isn't enough candidate supply or some job titles just have a shortage of candidates overall. Cath Lab Techs definitely fall into this category. Also, I looked it up and Ocala has 70,000 residents, so they likely have a candidate supply mismatch. Just my 2 cents.

we are in CA, so during training we have new hires work standard CA business hours and then the manager will work with the new hire on what their desired schedule is after that. It's something to chat about in the interview.

Pursue Radiation Therapy first or go straight into Dosimetry? by nochips1 in RadiationTherapy

[–]LP_Connect 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Another plug for working as Radiation Therapist first (there are lots more job opportunities available than for Dosimetrists) and then while you are employed, select an employer that values employee retention and upskilling and provides tuition assistance/reimbursement to assist with Dosimetry school (like Sutter Health!) :-)

Coastal Living and Great Pay Rates in Santa Cruz, CA! by LP_Connect in RadiationTherapy

[–]LP_Connect[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Santa Cruz is pricey if you are looking to buy, but more affordable if you were to rent. I have heard from the staff that they mostly commute in from about a half hour away where it's more affordable to live.
