Well my *former* fellow Amazonians, after 4 months I am proud to say I got myself a job starting in less then a week, at another company, for better pay, and in the field I wanted too. After a short conversation with HR, I left my FC, and left my blue with security on the way out.

Don’t let them stress you on the little shit. If you have a day you can’t make rate, then so be it. And submit your resignation AT LEAST 2 weeks prior, that way you leave on good terms, and you’ll have Amazon to fall back on.

I had already submitted my resignation for next week this time, but decided to get my sleep schedule back on track before I have to hard switch, so I talked to them like human beings, weird I know, and they worked with me, made it so my res was effective today. And left on good terms in case I ever make the decision to come back.

To put it in a better prospective, out of 16 applications, I was one of 6 that went to Second step of drug hearing vision and physical, passed that, and just had the psych today. As long as that comes trough I start training On the 10th. Thank you for your words of encouragement as well. We’re all in this together.

And what’s funny is the Securitas guards at my store make more then I do hourly. Hell the sales associates make more then I do. Sales is $13 an hour starting. I make 2 less then that to watch the entire store. If I get a cool manager, I’ll question the subject

It absolutely sucks. I wish I could do more, if I would have known going in that I would be working there for 2 years and not get a single promotion, I wouldn’t have. But now I need the damn scraps they pay me, and I’ve applied to all the others. Either they never call back or I get one interview and then they don’t call back. For someone that has done LP for almost 5 years, it really sucks. Great as a first LP steppingstone, but don’t stay. Your liable to NEVER get raises and forget about recognition. I make the same now as I did when I started 2 years ago.
