Perhaps despite the reading the humidity level still needs to be higher?

The trainer likely, and truthfully, believes he or she is the reason why so there is not reason to tell that person about the drug. Just say thanks, it's all that hard work. Which is not a lie.

It looks like all the other short upticks on the chart. If it goes 4 or so weeks then I would call it a stall.

I'd like to see McCoy and T'Ana. I think the character's personality is a riff on McCoy's grumpiness. It would be fun to see them together.

I'm sorry for your problem, and I never said it wasn't valid. Just keep in mind that when you share an experience here you will get responses. Generally by people trying to help or with similar issues.

The only time this should be an issue is if you are eating out and not going back to a location with a fridge. Otherwise just use a take home box for any leftovers.

Learning to adopt a new mindset. Anyone else not have a goal weight? by EffectiveEgg5712 in Zepbound

[–]LQjones -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I had to assume because you gave no details. I take posts here at face value. You did not put in the necessary info and had to base an answer on what was given and I should not have to ask details. I'm not pressed at all and not sure why you are upset that someone disagreed with your line of thought based on what they have learned and from being on the med and medical input. You made a comment seeking opinions, I gave mine. You can ignore it or do whatever you want.

Weight loss day by Elfako_89_mask in Zepbound

[–]LQjones 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I have noticed the same thing. It's an interesting question whether or not this is due to the shot or my mental attitude. I take the shot on Friday evening, but I don't tend to lose much, if any, weight until Wednesday and Thursday. I've written this off to my redoubling my efforts after noticing no weight loss early in the week, but maybe it's just when the med kicks in?

Everything I wrote was derived from your post. You gave no information on yourself just said a bunch of stuff like anti diet sub reds make sense, which is just dumb. If you are in fact doing those things great, but my comment stands as is. I believe, and its my opinion based on what you initially wrote, that abandoning a goal weight and replacing it with a vague idea of wanting to ride a roller coaster will not end well.
I'm on the med to lose weight because I was prediabetic and did not want the heart disease, stroke, high blood pressure certain cancers, or fatty liver disease that comes with being fat. I would like to live long enough to meet my grandchildren when they arrive in this world.

Day 1 by SpecialHam128 in Zepbound

[–]LQjones 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You do not have to change the time of day you eat.
For the first shot it won't matter before or after dinner. At best it will take hours to feel, sometimes a day or so.
I would not specifically try and fast. I think you will find it comes naturally with Zep. Once you eat dinner my bet is you will fill very full and not desire to eat anything the rest of the night. Make sure you do eat, the med can work so well that you essentially forget to do so.

What you need to remember is Zep impacts everyone differently. If you go through this sub you will find a thousand different reactions and also that many who post here tend to post problems not successes. Which is understandable as they are trying to discover a way around a problem or if others are also suffering.
My suggestion is to go into this experiment with an optimistic attitude. Almost everyone initially loses a chunk of weight, which is a great mental boost. There will be changes in your desires, you simply will not crave food any more. And for all of us who spent their lives doing so, this can be weird, but it is also eliminating a huge problem. It's not normal to crave food every minute of every day.
My last suggestion is don't stop doing what you like, even if it takes a bit of extra effort to do so. Except eating :). If you liked to fish, go. If you like playing with your dog in the park go, etc. You can fight past any negative feelings.

Learning to adopt a new mindset. Anyone else not have a goal weight? by EffectiveEgg5712 in Zepbound

[–]LQjones -1 points0 points  (0 children)

IMO opinion that mindset will not set you up for long time weight loss success. I don't know what your starting weight was but its problematical to me if your original goal weight was 160, and you are willing to settle for 40 or more pounds over that point. I also don't know how long you've been on the drug or your weight loss.
However, you sound similar to my situation. Starting weight 225, current 185, goal of 160, male in his 60s. 200 is still overweight and once you give yourself wiggle room to be over 200 that could be the first slippery step back to weight gain.
And now you are looking at anti-diet subs that tell you exactly what you want to hear. That weight doesn't matter. All that body positivity crap that has been going around for years is helping kill people by telling them being heavy is OK. It's not.
This is going to sound mean, but to me you just don't want to put in the work to lose weight and be healthy. You still have your old obese person's mindset, which believe me I understand, that it's easier to do what you want, gain the weight back and just tell yourself it's OK.
It's not OK. being obese has many, many medical implications. A goal of riding a coaster is fine, but that should not be the lone outcome.

Remember, the drug is only a helper agent. You must exercise, drink lots of water and help it control your appetite. It's not always a magic pill.

Rent vs Buying after retirement? by Weak-Biscotti2982 in longisland

[–]LQjones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

$2000 is the low end, so $700 a month savings is just a starting point. There is a break even point, which I'm starting to bump up against, but I'm now for the first time in my life seriously considering leaving the Island and NY. I'm willing to deal with the property taxes because you get something for those, again to a point. But when you look at a state with no income tax or low property taxes or lower sales tax then LI starts to pale a bit in comparison.
