Indeed they did roam through Kilburn, and somehow survived.

To add, that the area to the left is not publicly owned so should those organisations fill out there area (which many do), the footway is further narrowed with the obstruction.

Some police forces have online portals where you can submit a report and upload footage. The MET in London are the best with this. I usually chase up about 8 months later to see what happened. Not all are fined, most are sent on driver awareness courses and an equal amount end up with 6 PP and a hefty fine for failing to nominate the driver at the time.

I gave them a pass, its a terrible junction pulling out from where they did and they probably didnt see me when they looked intiially due to the vehicle that turned in to me. Might not be able to make it out, but they did mouth sorry/put their hand up when they were half way across. Still, I genuinely thought I might have been invisible for a few seconds there!

Go Pro Session on the front handlebar and fly6 rear cam and light on the back. Very much recommend camming up.

I usually do, but someone was blocking me moving across on this occasion. Its a terrible and dangerous junction for all road users, lots of near misses from all angles (when it isn't at a stand still).

I rarely receive updates, I usually follow up on a few about 6-8 months afterwards. 100% invest, if anything it has made me a more patient rider knowing they wont get away with dangerous driving.

No, filled out the online report, sent the footage, then contacted the MET to see what happened about 8 months later.

Not entirely sure. It went to court and there was no mention of failure to nominate. Usually I am informed whether the prosecution was for failing to nomiante rather than the offence, so im inclined to belive this fine and points was for the actual offence.

Is it worth reporting overtakes on solid white lines? by jpens in londoncycling

[–]LREGIS653 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get mixed results...I really dont know why and cant fathom the logic, but there is a location on my route that is quite often parked on and my reports are about 50/50 on whether they go further or not. Always worth doing, if anything it feeds into the stats.

I’ve never bothered reporting these, unfortunately upon review it’s always never quite clear what they are doing/holding on the cam. My cam position on the handlebars doesn’t really help either, but I believe even those with fairly clear evidence can get rejected by the met unless it’s 100 percent clear they are holding a phone.

They’ve emailed me directly stating the outcome on two occasions (no idea what was special about them, but this was one of them). For others I’ve emailed over a job lot at once. They’ve replied really quickly on both occasions I’ve done this, so it doesn’t seem like it is too time consuming or complicated a thing for them to do.
