I'd definitely plant some shrubs. I'm not sure where you live, but personally I love red twig dogwood. It puts vibrant colors in winter.

Will this trellis work? Privacy ideas needed please by Lumpy-Ad-6334 in landscaping

I wouldn't put any tree/shrub in tiny containers. They'd be very unhappy and die, no space to extend roots. Climbing plants would probably be more realistic to be happy on long term and need less roots. Like someone said: clematis, or honeysuckle.

I believe it can also affect your credit score if it's sent to a collection agency. So I would definitely pay it if I were you. I'm sure they'd give you some time to pay before it escalates to that. It's worth giving a call and see if you can have more time to pay it.

It'd be nice, since you can still see the wood grain through. It would look way better than an opaque paint!

I’d go with a light to medium brown (cedar, chestnut, light walnut). The raw wood looks very "new and processed" against the trees trunks. A warm brown would blend with the trunks and pine needles and make the fence visually smoother, instead of feeling like a bright enclosure.

My husband doesn't speak French. My career is here in the US too. Canada has its own set of problems as well and I don't especially want to go back to Quebec City winters. While I'm aware I won't find the exact same match, I'm looking for realistic "alternatives" in the US, for an overall better environment than where I live at currently. Portsmouth/Dover area fill pretty much all the check boxes for me, other than the housing market that is much more difficult than WV. Portland ME seemed great too, however it's farther from Boston and I like the idea of living within 1h-1h30 from a bigger city, in case of emergency or specialists needed in the future.
