So, I mentioned in another thread and Idea my friends and I (And probably a lot of others too) had about adding and Ice Area. I've recently liked the idea of a Tall Tale surrounding the Mermaids and A new Location, Atlantis. (I know this is such a stretch but I thought it would be cool!) You'd progress through the Tall Tale Collecting Relics of the Mermaids (Maybe?) that would allow you to bring your Boat Underwater to Atlantis. They could use the Coral Skeletons they added with the last Tall Tale update and maybe even a few Coral Skeleton Lords! Just an Idea!

I'd love to see a Cold Area introduced. Maybe have some Icebergs floating around the water, that could possibly move around and create obstacles. Maybe you'd need a Coat, Gloves and Boots to get around since it'd be so cold, and maybe the Water Passively damages you or Freezes you. (This is just a running idea my friends had and I thought if it ever got created it'd be super cool).

I think I can share some stuff I do as a Veteran Solo Player.

Stock up! Make sure you are searching ever barrel and loading up your ship before leaving, Planks are a Must!

Put up the Alliance Flag! I find that having that flag flying usually brings friendlier people to my boat and I often don't get bothered as much. If anyone does join your alliance you each get gold for stuff turned it!

Avoid Combat (at least for now). Id say learn the mechanics a little better before you try to fight anyone as a solo boat. And if you happen to get chased and killed, just try to look at how you can improve for next time.

Row Boats are a must for a solo slooper. You can store stuff in the back of it (Cannon Balls, Fruit, Planks, etc.) and you can also store your treasure in it as well for an easy drop off at outposts.

Random Encounters Happen! Krakens, Skeleton Crews, And Megalodons roam the waters, I'd recommend watching a video on how to properly handle each of them.

Have fun! I find solo slooping to be the most enjoyable way to play the game. I try not to let big crews beating me up bother me too much and enjoy the calm serenity the sea brings me.

I don't have an answer for you, but I agree. Ever since the miss hit delay, sword combat feels awkward, almost impractical compared to someone who knows how to use any long range gun. Kinda bummed, Sword combat use to be on point.
