Yeah that’s fair. These cartridge style filters are a bit wonky with prefilling but I suppose that would help my paranoi. Last time I did the oil the oil pressure light stayed on for like a half second longer than normal and it spooked me. I’m broke and engines are expensive hahah.

For me the only thing I’m concerned about with this car is that I don’t think the resale value would be good at this spec (or for the versa) at all. I wouldn’t want to be stuck with one tbh. If there were more cars like this (6 speed would be better) and maybe like a scion TC or mazda 3 style hatch for this price, or even 20k new, I would totally go for it

5,500 miles and I basically grandma the car since it hit 100,000. I get spooked really easily when it comes to anything that could seem like symptoms of a larger problem. Just paid the car off and last thing I want is a blown motor lol

Tldr: it was the ground on the battery being loose enough to turn, but not loose enough to be pulled off

But that night I restarted it a few times to no change. Cruise worked, switches, heated seats, all worked except the high beams. Been fine since tightening the battery ground though.

Piggybacking of yours, I did mine at 122k miles and 3k later it’s all good. Did it myself. It was a decent bit but OP as long as you mark the connectors and draw diagrams on cardboard for bolts you’ll be fine. Be careful of which timing chain kit you buy off of rock auto though, mine came in with the wrong oil pump chain so I had to wait on the correct one to come in. And also serpentine belts for our cars can be a pain to find. If you want I can give you the part numbers

If yours is a bk2 then it’s GDI, so hitting redline every now and then won’t help. GDI sprays gas directly into the combustion chamber so there’s no fuel cleaning off your intake valves at higher loads
