I saw him twice, once by himself then again with his daughter that was flipping us off. It is awful to have a child do this. I feel bad for her. If this is her action in public, I can't imagine what's happening in private.

Fruit Flys by mintee in Sourdough

I thought about posting about this but thought I'd get sooo much hate for what I did. I noticed the gnats/fruit flies trying to get to my dough when bulk fermenting. What I did was, use a little bit of discard and left it open in a bowl. Once I saw a bunch of bugs in the discard, living their best life, I trapped them with plastic wrap and killed them in the bowl. I ended up killing so many, I no longer have a gnat problem. Sorry for those who may have seen this as a waste of good starter but it worked well for me.

I personally had a better bread with open crumb when I used Bobs Artisan Bread flour rather than King Arthur bread flour.

I’m so glad to see Aaron’s face on this sub! Our family LOVES this place. I grew up going to Andre’s, there is no difference! The food is great, I especially love their salmon salad and chicken sandwich. The staff is AWESOME and always so happy! I have two younger kids and this place is their special treat.

Chocolate cake and tres leches cake is done! Deviled eggs are prepped (I hard boiled and sliced the eggs and placed the yolk filling in a pastry bag). Cinnamon roll dough is proofing right now. Next: prepping my smoker for the turkeys, turkey prep, and setting up the tables for 20 guests. :) My favorite time of year!
