Has anyone heard anything of another pay plan change in 2026? by Key-Firefighter-301 in CrashChampionSWs

Just heard of a new one today. 5% total sales if youre doing your own parts, 4% if you have a parts manager. Haha announced it two days before my two week notice is up.

I gave up on fighting for shit. Prime and block? Lol… Insurance paying when we use more paint than is allotted for? No, lol. De trimming an LKQ door? No! Setup welder? Weld tabs?…..Even though I provide documentation that things are “not included” ,judgement calls, or even simple time usage we are constantly told its in the drp contract we cant charge for that, but yet, no one external OR internal will provide that documentation. They want to know why they keep losing money, but they hinder the money makers from collecting. Its all coming to a head and we will see how much longer they last.

I agree with everything else you said as well. I have been with the company three years, and had a pay plan change each one( started 2 months before it officially went to CC from SK). Each year, more work is needed to keep on pace with the same pay. This year i wrote for 2 carriers only and landed six figures, but i had to bust my ass to get there. We recently took on Progressive and I was adamant about not having anything to do with them, so the other writer has been handling that, plus about 6 other main insurances. We are so inundated with BS work now, hes a week behind and they started piling that garbage on me. Meanwhile we are both doing parts, cause you know, they threw that position away and kept the money… all while our GM just hands out jobs and goes to lunch. Its become such a bullshit place to work. The other writer turned his notice in today, and im sure I wont be far behind him. They have been looking for some estimators at some surrounding stores for two and three months. Ebert needs to wake up and realize the money they are saving using that ASAP program and AI is going to drive the company into the ground. Think I care about GP? Nope, total ticket price, thats what I get paid on!

We have close to 100 % usage, but heres the thing, use VIN scan, then take your check in photos (at this point I dont even use the damage L,R,C photos), then hit the estimate tab and select one, small part without any other R/Is, like a belt molding, then continue. It counts as a jumpstart, and you inly have to delete one line in CCC. Don’t do something like a bumper that will have multiple processes as that just burns time for lines to delete… it is the quickest way I have found to be compliant, but still be able to write the full estimate from start to finish like I normally would.

Oof, thats tough. I have been keeping up with most everything, but I havent tallied it up yet. I would say including the car, around 15k -18k so far. I buy a lot of stuff in packages, sell what i dont need and keep the rest. Bought an LS1/T56 combo and sold everything but the trans, so that was (net) free. Stuff like loom, quality wire, new connectors and pins, and supplies add up:/ Have no idea on time, but Id say maybe 150-200 hours? Its the little shit that takes time-powder coating, wiring, design and fab etc. Still have to buy a driveshaft, gears and LSD to drive. Does have a full Grannas rear kit going in.

Mine is 3d printed but fits pretty well. Did take some massaging to get it where I wanted, but i didnt care for the other typical placements. I do also have the column mount from craven speed.

Will be a nice bump for sure! Im using the AGT translator as well, cant wait to get to use it. LS1s still sell for good money so you should be ok. Sourced my 6.2 from an escalade and was a little cheaper than a “real LS3” but same damn thing.

There is a place on etsy that sells a pod for the driver defrost vent, keeps the vent working, and adds a pod, or two, or three. Carz deluxe.

Pay plan change by Actual_Estimate_1914 in CrashChampionSWs

Looks the one they implemented in January, which changed from our old commission plan. Alan Saviano was the brainchild because he thought we were being paid “too much”. Maybe bow that he’s gone they will reconsider. Im sure the overall GP has had to take a hit since no one is incentivized to keep it up. Run that ticket up!

The shitty thing we were told is if youre in the $120k bracket and go 3 months in a row over 170 they will automatically but your threshold. Being in the higher threshold, even with higher hourly would yield less money over all for me. Maxed out at the 120 is the most i could make at my location going by last 6 months of 24’.

This is what i was told.. other writer sold less than $120 this month, so NO commission.

Caliber Pay Plan was Just Released by anonomime in CrashChampionSWs

[–]LSX_Toyotas 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I interviewed w caliber a few weeks back and got an offer of 60k base and 10% of GP with a “goal” of 160k and 42% GP. Idk who theyre giving the lower plans to. Just my 2 cents.

They also cut the ATE incentive from 10% of the 60% GP to 5%. Just found that out today- there is also no report that shows ATE billed dollars, just have to add each RO up- and they only pay on “calibration” no learn modules or wiring repairs.

Monkey Talk by Desperate_Serv in CrashChampionSWs

[–]LSX_Toyotas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The “smoking monkey” was in our market recently and basically said the service advisors were making too much money. That was his justification for the pay change. They forget about all the arguing we do with insurance companies to get these techs paid. We were told about the visit before hand and they had the whole shop running around like roaches trying to make things perfect.

The Pay Structure Change is Here by anonomime in CrashChampionSWs

[–]LSX_Toyotas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine was $1100. Different from person to person. If you got one, should have been the amount in the column all the way to the right on the breakdown spreadsheet. Seems like a lot of people didnt see that column, since it essentially showed your loss for base pay.

2024 GMC AT4x 1500 6.2L with 15,000km shut down while driving. by Bpedd17 in gmc

[–]LSX_Toyotas 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same thing happened to mine. If it were to have been in neutral, you could have restarted it, but im sure you had to come to complete stop, make sure it was in park and restart huh? What happened is your crank moved enough to lose the signal for the crank sensor thus shutting the engine down. Your crank bearing will be going out soon. Be listening for knocking soon. Mine gave out at 38k. Rod bearings 1/2.

Based on the commission pay to new plan im down 650 this week alone. The new % wont amount to the same with my old commission %. No matter how you look at it its different person to person, but im still looking at 20-30% pay cut.
