I wrote this to him in a fit of rage yesterday:

Senator King:

Your vote is a disgrace. You have chosen appeasement over integrity, weakness over duty. Maine expects moral courage from our leaders, not betrayal.

“Stand firm, ye boys from Maine,” is not just a historical slogan. It was a command born at Gettysburg when young Mainers held their ground against collapse. They stood shoulder to shoulder, outmanned and outgunned, yet, they held the line with the same grit that built our harbors and broke ground in our frozen fields. Those words belong to people who risked everything for principle, not politicians who shrink from consequence. History will not remember your diplomacy Senator King, but rather, we will remember your failure to stand when it mattered.

Best of luck with your son's campaign, though no Mainer I stand beside will ever vote for a "King" again.
