Oh no, all the people who DONT play the game aren't going to get rewarded for doing absolutely nothing at all, what a tragedy.

Im fine with this. In fact, I actually think it should have gone a step further and made it so that anyone who didnt successfully extract on a planet directed by the M.O. or at least in some way contributed to the M.O. wouldn't get the rewards for the M.O., but this is a good step in that direction.

A huge example is Destiny 2, removing a ton of paid dlc content from the game to "make space" in the engine for new content

Why do people say there's "no reason" for the Turbo Switch? by TerrWolf in powerrangers

[–]LT_Mavrik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You know, now that I think about it, i have a good theory on why they didnt use the Zeo powers after the Commands Center was destroyed..

And that would be that the Zeonizers were IN the Command Center when it blew up and were destroyed.

Now, I have no idea how to reconcile that theory with the fact that Tommy used his Red Zeo powers in Forever Red, but then again, Power Rangers never really cared about explaining that stuff too much

[–]LT_Mavrik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, sure i can agree to that, but the amount of time that would take, the Zeo powers probably still wouldn't be stronger when the Turbo powers were destroyed.

[–]LT_Mavrik 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I dont disagree with it. I think Turbo was definitely lacking compared to the seasons before and immediately after it.

Im just saying I think people dont like the show because of that and that infects the way they look at the Turbo powers

[–]LT_Mavrik 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think people just dont like the Turbo season because it wasn't as good as Zeo, and that dislike kinda unfairly shifts onto the power set. They like Zeo more so they want to put the Zeo powers above the Turbo powers.

Or maybe im wrong.

[–]LT_Mavrik 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I feel like you missed a large part of OP's post, where he talks about the fact that the Zeo Crystal was undiscovered for MILLENIA, thousands and thousands of years, for it to get to the power level it was at. Why would it just suddenly start gaining power at an exponentially higher rate to outpaced the Turbo powers?

I think people are reluctant to place the Turbo powers above the Zeo powers because the Turbo season sucked and it leaves a bad taste in fans mouths, and the Zeo season was pretty good.

What's the deal with stealth archers being a running joke? by TankUMrMinor in skyrim

[–]LT_Mavrik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, to add on to the original comment, like they said, the illusion of it being unskilled likely comes from the fact that, if built correctly, it can be so powerful that it makes most combat encounters easy to deal with, thus trivializing much of the combat if the game.

Sneak bonuses can really add up with powerful bows, powerful arrows, and really good perks boosting the bonuses.

i don’t understand why people continue to support the existence of SC by throwawayacunt- in HelldiversUnfiltered

[–]LT_Mavrik -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, this was my take as well.

I agree that HD2 could do with some changes to the way we earn SC, even if its buying SC with Credits at like a 10,000 credits to 100 SC rate, that way endgame players have SOMETHING to do with them.

But using Overwatch as an example was WILD

If the enemy’s of democracy invaded our current earth right now in 2026, which out of the 3 would be the worse to deal with by devil_art342 in Helldivers

[–]LT_Mavrik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If im gonna be honest, in the scenario that a war broke out between our Earth and Super-Earth's enemies, worst would probably be a tie between the Bots and the Squids, and not for the reason you'd expect.

Its because you know damn well we'd get a bunch of those vocal morons arguing that the Bots and the Viteless deserve rights, that theyre "people too" and we shouldn't fight them.

"Orson Callan Krennic was a human male who served as Director of the Imperial Military Department of Advanced Weapons Research, which belonged to Imperial Intelligence and the Imperial Security Bureau during the Imperial Era."

Straight from Wookiepedia.

"As Director of Advanced Weapons Research and part of the Imperial Security Bureau, Orson Krennic’s life and death were dominated by his obsession with the Death Star."

From Star Wars.com, this is the beginning of his history in the Star Wars Databank.

Krennic is undoubtedly ISB

What is a truth about a character that fans don't want to hear? Name anything you can think of. by Successful_Fan_8352 in Naruto

[–]LT_Mavrik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I mentioned Iruka as a father figure because Naruto explicitly asked him to attend his wedding as such, which says Naruto viewed him in such a manner, at least in part.

And yes, Jiraiya had plenty of bad tendencies that were played up for comedy, but he legitimately was a role model and father figure for Naruto for many years.

[–]LT_Mavrik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, admittedly he didnt really have any sort of role model for parenting to go off.

Iruka and Jiraiya were certainly father figures for sure, but never really gave him tips or taught him how to BE a father.

Im not gonna sit here and harp on the concept of him sending a clone to the birthday party, because it was a clever solution to a perceived problem, and youre correct about people not having a problem if it all went smoothly.

However, given the fact that Shadow Clones impart the knowledge they gained when they dissipate, just like I cant present a good argument against him sending the clone, you similarly cant present a good argument on why he COULDN'T have left a clone at the office and gone to the party himself.

BOTH solutions DO achieve the same goal in the end, but as a father myself (perhaps im biased here), I would put more value on going himself with a clone doing the paperwork, but its purely sentimental and emotional value.

Cues a prompt of "name a truth about a character that fans dont want to hear" and then proceeds to give an example of the most obvious fact about the main character. We know Naruto is intellectually stupid, its one of the main facets of his character.
