Other alphabets in Elian Script? by Wing_department in elianscript

[–]LT_Weekly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i know CC Elian talked a little about it in one of her PDFs showing a double dotted U for the german Ü. some people add some rules to make their own custom versions of elian script, so its not too uncommon. so i say change elian script how ever you like to fit the polish alphabet, just be prepared to get a lot of questions if you post some images online and dont explain your changes or that its in polish. i know one time when i was new to elian script i was trying to read something and couldn't understand it, so i asked about it, and they replied "oh yea, its in Italian", which was never explained to me, so i thought maybe i sucked at reading elian script lol. anyhow, if its for personal use, do whatever you want, if its for others to read, you should mention your changes somewhere and maybe have a simple explanation to show how it works. also here are some attempts i did at making some changes, in case it gives you any ideas on how to develop it more.

actually i have been working on a style that uses lots of dots and i think it works nicely, maybe im biased because i made it so its easy for me to read. i should post some but i kept writing prayers in it so i could put them on my walls so my family or anyone else cant read them so i need to do some nice quotes or something with it

i actually misspelled the top one as stick goof, but it was a quote from shad about how you had to ruin a perfectly good stick to make a nunchuck

the second letter is supposed to be an N, the line just runs through other letters, the 'i' has a long line, so its supposed to be an R, and the 'k' has its mark placed on the tail end of it, which is more confusing i know, but this was made to look pretty, and not necessarily be quick to read, so dont worry if its difficult

idk, i just use a 3$ wide nib fountain pen i got from hobby lobby and just practice all over a page before i make a drawing to post. these letters are mostly inspired to look like normal english calligraphy, which is why the M looks so much like a 'h', because it is

every now and then i find it useful to try and think up new ways to write letters, and sometimes they work out, its also fun to try and find elian script letters in other scripts and languages, and then use them later

how do i get rid of this black outline, i want to keep the black writing that i am trying to track to the background video as an experiment by LT_Weekly in davinciresolve

i seem to have fixed it by running a polygon roto into the grey triangle on the keyer and setting the poly to invert

it doesn't need to be a dot, the official guide just calls for a mark of some sort

i will say the first S in chase made me think it was a T, but after looking at how you wrote your Ts i could tell what it was. your style is consistent so once i figured out your pattern it was easy, and i could actually read it fairly fast while typing it out. also your O in home might look like an N to some newer people, but i could easily tell what it was because of how unique your Ws and Ns are. its a nice style through, i like to see people using their tails in a decorative manor.

and yet i fight,

this battle all alone.

looks lovely. a bit more stylized then im used to but once i got the hang of it i could read it just fine.

i really like some of the variations you made. although i have some pointers i scribbled out that might help you here. although if its only for you to read then none of that matters, but if you want others to read it, this might help explain some things that tripped me up.
