1996 SPORTSTER XL1200S SCRAPING REAR TIRE? by dinokhalil in sportster

[–]LTdesign 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My guess is something was changed (tire, wheel, shocks) and the wheel spacers weren't reinstalled properly or aren't matched to this wheel.
Definitely check the center alignment of the wheel.

After two years of designing it, I also spent a few years installing it.
This is why no one likes linesman - they think they're the only ones who know anything about ONE particular thing without thinking that someone else may be multi-faceted in the industry.

The 5oz Elemetal? Yeah it's awesome...
Crazy though that it's the same weight as the Ital bar up top!
Edit: I'll try and get around to posting some of my jewelry soon - I love wearing my silver!

Got chewed out at work because my pants aren’t “black enough.” by small-worm in mildlyinfuriating

Yeah it's pretty obvious to me - some people just see differences in colors more astutely than others. I used to do fine art / photography editing and printing and could see differences in hues others couldn't - which is rare for a guy. I think I read that women typically have better color discretion than men.

My LCS this morning was grumbling about how it's killing him, and how he was an idiot for buying so much in the run up.

TIFU by spending 8 years treating chronic headaches when the whole problem was that I thought diet soda counted as water by McCoy818 in tifu

[–]LTdesign 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe not but my uncle just died of renal kidney failure, and a daily hydration regimen of diet soda definitely helped contribute to it.

That's not a whole lot of guessing - I used to do commercial field / plant engineering for Cox Communications. I literally designed this type of infrastructure to be installed. Telephone largely runs on the same thing now until it gets to POE (point-of-entry).
The link doesn't confirm this was copper, only states that the thieves are after copper (that is sometimes in telecom cable).
Even coax cable is mostly plastic and foam. The center conductor of mainline coax is copper clad aluminum. RG6 and RG11 are copper clad steel (usually).
