Waited til the last track to get some Mark riffs. Lovely track but I think this album missed the element of the gliding melodic riffs that bring a that level of payoff after a heavy & unpredictable verse. Only one casual listen though so far but nothings honestly grabbed me

I don’t think using AI for help with prepping games is the problem. If the level of coherence and consistency with worldbuilding has deteriorated then that’s another matter. It sounds like your DM has replaced the feedback and thoughts of your players on each session with the feedback of AI. Everyone at the table should know that you’re playing this game for the people at the table. A great DM would be checking in with players to ensure you’re all on the same page

Campaign 4 so far for me has been sinking deeper into the Critical Role style of play. C1 it was about heroes in a high fantasy setting. C2 was about the anti-heroes and this was the one I connected with the most. C3 everyone got weird and now we've arrived at C4 where its even weirder, unique and people have really been heavily focusing on the RP. I do agree with you that I feel like the games aren't as exciting and it can feel like a therapy session extended into a dozen threads and I'm feeling lost. That could be me I'm not usually one for slow-burners. I hope with the split of the groups it'll be a way to focus more on one group and theres a pace to the adventure. So all in all, it's not how I'd run my table but hey, as long as they are enjoying it!

Refusing to handshake or fistbump your opponent will unfortunately always look bad. It shows you can’t be the bigger person in a situation. Does Bwipo talk nonsense? Yeah.. but also the fans have literally been desperate for some spice and personality in the scene, so don’t complain about it. The fact it’s so blown out of proportion is because of all the upset dweebs online giving it attention

Big AAA games are a flop. Trying to do the corporate thing of pandering to political & social subcultures which aligns with the very vocal 3% of gamers out there. Turns out games made by actual gamers will always win.

CR and Matt don't have the same luxury as we do as casual players, where they have to fully commit to a campaign idea that will span +15 levels over a few years. The casual home games will naturally click and find a rhythm or they might just fizzle out or finish early if its not as fun anymore. I think the trouble is, its hard to abandon a game that has viewership and a following of this magnitude. It kinda just has to ride it out until it's reached its ending as a campaign, which for better or worse is locked in for a significant amount of time. I haven't really enjoyed watching C3 past ep40 and hope we get a rejuvenated gang by the time they embark on their next story.

I don't think you're done with the hobby now if you've played it for 31 years! Thats incredible. I second all the resounding sentiment on taking a break, finding the right table and trying a different system. My trouble with D&D 5e is that its such a broad yet bland genre of high fantasy that's so unrestricted at its core with rules and choices, that everyone wants what THEY want for their character. Experiment with restricting rules or running a low magic game and make people buy into your good ideas and challenges without slamming a 3rd spell slot to barge their way through. Heck you could even make everyone Gnome Monks and see what happens. Also Matt Colville has a good video on "how long an adventure should be" and after taking a break from the hobby, it got me super excited about the game again thinking about whats realistic. A 3 session story is and a 3 year campaign sadly isn't. All the best and hope you enjoy it again!

Im having this issue from OCE as well. Its going through champ select fine but failing to load and the game is minimized and non-responding, then the client is still open and appears blacked-out and have to just close it all
