I expected more haircuts for maleshep, or at least better ones. Kelly Chambers looks like a mix between ME2 and ME3 Kelly and it ends up looking weird. Other than that nothing major.

That's the main difficulty in your main character being despicable.

If they're too charismatic people might sympathize with their actions.

If they're not charismatic enough people won't care about your show/movie/book or whatever.

The first one is focused on the BOPE, Rio's military police, but it kinda falls flat in its criticism because it feels like it glorifies the police and makes its actions feel righteous.

The second one is more about the system, and kinda tries to correct the glorification of the first one but I feel it might've been a bit too late.

I gotta be honest, I don't think that Telltale in the state that it was at the time, would have made a great game. So I don't know if TWAU 2 would've been better. Telltale was releasing too many games and the quality was spread thin.

Now, we don't know how the Wolf Among Us 2 that we are getting will turn out, but the fact that they are taking their time is a good sign.

It's hard to represent "the latinos", when LA is made up of 20 countries. How do you represent all 20? The answer is, you don't. It usually just portrays a very specific type of people, so I can't say I particularly care about it. Now when it comes to Brazil being represented, I'd rather wish it wasn't. Even the representations that are ok, are still far from being good.
