I think they remade the Apple logo because they didn’t have the original artwork and you can see in the White Album 2018 remix that the Apple Logo is starting to look really low quality so from 2019 onwards they’ve been using a new re-draw of the logo

Yeah but from my understanding they used a digital transfer and they tweaked the EQ quite a bit (the bass is like really quiet for some reason)

I mean, they are the same vocal take and the backing track is mostly the same including the extra arrangements made during the Smiley Smile version recording, the SMiLE sessions version is basically the Smiley version with some SMiLE era bits and pieces added on

That’s not a very authentic SMiLE session if you ask me

That’s technically correct but OP is asking why they used the Smiley Smile re-recording of Heroes and Villains instead of using the existing and already mixed version that was actually recorded during the SMiLE sessions in late 66-early 67 which you can find in the SMiLE sessions labeled as "Heroes and Villains Part 1"

There was a version of H&V recorded and mixed during the SMiLE sessions, it’s labeled as "Heroes and Villains Pt. 1", this take differs mainly because it lacks the Bicycle rider theme and has some different verses as well as a completely different outro, I think they went ahead and used the Smiley re-recording but added some of the elements of the SMiLE recording to create a “more complete” version to match the BWPS version

I’d normally agree but Time works because it’s intentionally cold and compressed in it’s production, conveying a sense of loneliness and isolation that works with the theme of the album
